View Full Version : Photographed whilst filtering

I was filtering last night up the Motorway towards Oteha Valley when I saw a single, very bright blue-ish flash from one of the cars in the fast lane (to my right). Has anyone else experienced this? Ta.

You will probably find your picture on Snapt http://www.snapt.co.nz/news.php in the near future.

You're not telling the full story are you? I reckon you were on the back wheel at the time.

No, I guess it was because I was filtering whilst drinking coffee and using my mobile phone.....

There has been a quite long discussion in the Snapt forum on motorcycle lane splitting. Many of the cage drivers have now come around to accepting that it is a safer practice for most motorcyclists than sitting in the queue. There are still some diehards though.

If your photo does show up in the gallery I'll renew my registration to the site and re-open the splitting thread.

Ironic that these dogooders should probably concentrate on the road, not sitting ready to pounce with a camera.

its ok if you do that, the number plate points to the ground, so you're in the clear ;)

there are some like that but I was browsing them just before and there was a comment one one that was similar... the reply from the poster was...

I wasn't driving, I was in the passenager seat... :dodge: :innocent:

Another possibility is that the car behind you simply turned on his headlights. More expensive modern cars often have high-intensity discharge headlamps fitted, and these do produce a bright blue-white flash when initially turned on.

I wasn't driving, I was in the passenager seat... :dodge: :innocent:Then I wonder if the driver (or other surrounding drivers) find that distracting? Wouldn't be surprised if their self righteous heads are so far up their own butts that the 'thrill of the chase' (yeah, they don't live for this... whatever) distracts them from what's important, making these dogooders a risk on the roads anyway.

There are a shed-load of pics posted up by one sad pathetic excuse for a human (probably an accountant) who works under the name SnapTaj. It's blatantly clear that the person taking the photos is the driver ... and that he or she drives around the whole time with a camera in hand snapping off photos of anything he doesn't like - which he then posts up whether or not what the other driver is illegal.

If someone finds them, please remember to give them a good kicking from me.

Columbian neck tie? Any chance of finding out their name, where they live?

What?

If it does, could you please send Whetu a reminder? He is interested in that sort of thing as well.

I wonder why the cagers against lanesplitting want queues to be longer, why do they actively want to increase congestion and needless pollution? Are they environmental saboteurs?

Congestion and pollution are real issues in the UK and motorcycles are offered every courtesy by the vast majority of motorists for precisely these reasons - 1 motorcyclist splitting means 3 metres of congestion removed.....

Also in the UK it's perfectly legal when done sensibly.

Snapt admin are biased and will get rid of anything that is opposing what they deem acceptable. I though my original thread on parking on top of children was perfectly legit. I was, after all, asking for opinions positive or otherwise. Instead the got rid of it rather than voicing their negative opinion on the open discussion.

In saying that though, I haven't been in there for a while. Time to pay a visit...

Ok, $1 in, first one to be on that stupid site 3 times takes the pot!

I thought it would almost be a good idea, people in handicapped spaces (assholes) etc but it looks like a small group of people who are way too keen for their own good.

Showing restraint, stopping there, serious about the bet though, might be a bit unfair though, if you live near one of those freaks and don't have your toilet paper around "the right way" you might just be the winner!!

That is exactly the reason I terminated my membership of that site. All negative, and nothing constructive

I actually agree... not only that I am still try to work out the purpose of the site...

I think the purpose of the site is for contradicting, "anonymous wins" hypocrites to congregate and congratulate each other on being pretentious fucks who's ideology is "When I do it, it's ok!".

People with not enough adventure in their life tend to make sites like those, just take comfort in knowing you're having fun while they're behind a camera lense.
