Looks like both directions. In case you wanted to know.

It's packed here on Tinakori Rd.

Look, empty motorway at Aotea Quay!

Surposed to have found a bomb or some device somewhere on Tinakori rd according to police coms so closed off motorway both sides of site

It's not closed now. I've never seen the on ramp closed before.

An update:

NZ Police CommCens Alert 21:28 19-06-2007 Wellington

Location of incident: Wellington

Incident Type: Update explosive device/road closure

The Army team at the scene has advised us that the device located does not have a detonator so there is no danger to the public.At this stage the Wellington Urban Motorway has been reopened. Tinakori Rd remains closed between Park St and Thorndon Qy until the situation has been resolved fully.
