Now I have the 400 (when it's going, faulty ignition barrel the problem of the week) I don't use the RG unless I have to (like when the 400 isn't going).
And after riding my brother's dirtbike and remembering how fun it is and seeing a mate of his get an old RM for cheap, I'm kinda interested in getting one for cheap myself. Or my parents will force me to put the money into paying off the 400...
The running RG has some bad scuffs across it's right side, it has another motor (which I'm not sure will present any problems getting it's next wof) that came from the second bike and has about 46000kms on it and runs really good, it currently has no brakes but I'll fix that (broken levers at both ends) and it has a set of near new conti cities.
The second is a project that I have no time or money for. It's in pieces, the frame has been painted matt black, the tank has been stripped to steel, the engine is seized (it had a half worn oversized piston in it so it's likely to be the big end that's the problem), the powervalve control box is stuffed, but otherwise it's all there ready to be put back together.
The running bike could be used on the road, but I wouldn't want to sell to a learner rider cause they deserve something a bit better. I'd be happier selling them both as a package deal to a racer. (I would race in streetstock myself but the track is too far away and requires too much money to get there and run, dirt biking is more accessible over here).
Just wondering how much would be a reasonable price to sell both of them? If I can't get a good price for both I'll try fix them up more or consider racing again in the future. The running bike could be tidied up into a good road bike and the project could make a good race bike if the engine is fixable (think rego is about to die since I've had it on hold for too long).
