Hehehe... somebody else posted this up just last week I think, and my productivity (studying for exams at least) did decrease dramatically!
Interesting game. Can recall something vaguely familiar on a Commodore 64 or possibly even a BBC Micro, but couldn't say for sure.

I got to 2623 after about an hour (nearly the end of easy). This was much more fun than studying.

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to come across as one of the `REPOST YUO GHEY FHAG' crowd -- as I recall the original mention was a sidenote to an existing thread anyway.
Check out some of the high-scoring maps; once you get a high score, the layout you used is posted up on the site automatically. You can get some good tips by seeing what the champions do.
I always get owned by the `flyers' towards the end -- I rely on intricate map layouts rather than raw firepower, and that doesn't mean shit when it comes to them lol :)

Ooo I love TDs! I play them all the time in Warcraft III so this shouldn't be too tough. Takes a while though... I'll let you know my score in due course ;)
oh thats just evil.....bye bye work

Okay it's pretty easy in Easy mode - I completed all 50 levels with a score of 3704. I guess I should play it again in a higher difficulty!
Edit: Not too hard in Normal mode either, I completed that with a score of 5135. That's quite enough time wasting for one day!

Haha cheers :)
And yeah, exactly the same here. All sweet until I get a squadron of fliers that I completely forgot to prepare for...

Actually it brings back very fond memories of playing Lemmings... There is a pretty impressive DHTML version http://www.elizium.nu/scripts/lemmings/
Quite funny playing it... I remember the techniques for most of the levels like it was yesterday...
I run linux so installing http://pingus.seul.org/ see what its like.

Oooh, Pingus... I've got Pingus available as part of apt-get; I think it was an older version but it was still pretty shite.
Not the best gaming effort on Linux I'm afraid.
The cool thing though is to run Dosbox, which emulates DOS under Linux at quite a reasonable speed; then you can run the original Lemmings or most of your old DOS games.
I have to say that DHTML Lemmings is pretty amazing. Amazing how much power people can squeeze out of Javascript.
