Senior and experienced riders - Comments and support requested for newbie riders

Each week in the Wannabe and Newbie Bikers Sub Forum some of you will be aware that I post the regular weekly "Where Did You Ride and What Did You Practise?" thread and that each week two entries are selected by two participating members from the previous week and so the cycle continues.

The selections are copied across to the Newbie Update Blogg. The blogg was created as a perpetual legacy in memory of our mentor Uncle.

I would like to encourage senior and experienced riders to perhaps look in at this wannabe/newbie sub-forum and perhaps offer some remarks as to what and how they approach their riding review and practice. I am sure you can provide some useful insights.

A silent reply "......" to this thread indicating you have read it and will look in on the wannabe/newbie sub-forum link is appreciated.

It's a great idea, Guy, but I suspect it will become increasingly harder to keep going with the same level of meaningful contribution.

A "questions most asked by newbies" summary may be useful. We should never stop thinking about new riders who constantly emerge on this forum and ways we can all contribute to their gaining knowledge, experience, riding buddies, mentors and friends.

Point taken Brett, hence I made this post in the General Bike Ravings forum to draw the attention of the senior and more experienced riders to at least look over in the Wannabe Newbie sub forum.

Yes it may 'become increasingly harder to keep going with the same level of meaningful contribution,' however on behalf of newbies I would like to think that perhaps we could get a greater involvement from with in the kiwibiker forums community and its experienced riders. (Thanks to Macktheknife for offering assistance - separate PM passed, yourself - for you comment, and Barbender - for your '........' acknowledgement.)

In response to "questions most asked by newbies" summary may be useful, I will review the weekly Ride/Practise thread through the end of July at which time it may be appropriate to modify the whole concept of an interactive 'wannabe/newbie theme'.

I would like to acknowledge the time and effort taken by the newbie riders to compile their 'ride and practise' in the weekly sub forum thread. There are entries over the last six months of riders making a concerted effort to practise and improve their riding technique.

I would like to see this 'gaining knowledge/skill/technique concept' continue with the support of the experienced riders in the kiwibiker community and hence the likelihood of even more meaningful contributions may result.

To be reviewed at the end of July.

Sounds like a good idea Guy.

I'm off KB during the day now. I've started a new job (Manager - Microform Centre of Excellence (http://mcoe.info)) so I'm keeping away from KB in order to dedicate myself to the job for a while, but I'm checking in at nights.

The idea would probably fit into the general bike threads. Just not too sure how many experiance riders go into the newbie threads on a regular basis. Still a good idea but wherever etc.
