Tried to post a pic but it wouldn't pick up.
What's it doing in your neck of the woods today?
Not too cold here at the mo but thick snow getting low on the hills. John.

Brisbane - back up to 19 degrees. Which is semi arctic for Queensland.
Yet another bloody sunny day. Blue skies. Fluffy clouds. Gentle breeze. Yada, yada.:whocares:
Perfect weather all the time is just like eating icecream for breakfast. Great for the first week, but then you get bloody sick of it and hanging out for some decent porridge . . .
I miss snow:bye:

Its snowing her, on top of frosty roads. Most roads in the area are now closed due to numerous accidents, and its still two and half hours before I go home. This will be a good test for the VStrom. :ride: :ride: :ride:

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Hahah yeah. I felt ungrateful when I told my parents that I found the endless blue skies of Brisbane (Ormiston/Cleveland -- where're you?) slightly depressing and very boring.
K14 -- amazing photo! I miss snow.

I'm in the outer northern suburbs, about 20 minutes away from Dayboro and Mt Mee, so a pretty darn good spot by Brisbane standards for having a motorbike.
The slightly depressing description is apt. The lovely weather here, it's just, ya know, wrong.

You crazy bastard. I tried to get up our driveway but to no avail. Go 1/4 of the way up, wheels start spinning, wheeee slide down to the bottom again. I gave up after two attempts.
Looks like its stopped snowing here now, by the measuring stick approx 10cm. More coming tomorrow and sat by the looks too.

Mmmmm, You may be right. Since I made that previous post, there have been 4WDs having trouble on the Clyde Bridge. I may have to walk to Clyde and see if I can a 4WD from there.

My poor wee bikey is cold and wet. It has a blankie but I'm sure it's scared out there in the dark and rain. It's only a 400 after all.

We live on a hill too and can watch the stormy stuff on the hills in front, best thing I saw one night was the big forked stuff coming down, as well and the sheet lightening, man I am mad enough to get up at night to watch if it is really performing.....LOL
I prefer wine myself :dodge:

I HATE thunderstorms :(
Been off work ill all day (whoever said morning sickness was just in the morning, and eases at 12 weeks - rather than kicking in at 11 weeks - was lying!) and so I'm hiding under the duvet!!

My poor bike has sadly been left at work, neglected and abandoned, but at least it is undercover and undamaged. Just as well one of the other guys from work with a 4WD drove through the snow from Alexandra to Clyde to pick me uo then took me the 10 kms home.
Even though we own a 4WD just for this type of weather, Stromfrau wasn't prepared to come and pick me up. The snow has fallen onto an already frozen road, so its snow on top of ice, and I don't blame for being reluctant to drive in those conditions. There have already been many accidents on the roads around here, and one fatality near Lake Hawea. Most roads in the area are closed, and its still snowing, with the coldest fronts still to arrive.
Must be due to Global warming? :innocent:

Absolutely 'orrible here most of the afternoon. It's currently pretty miserable, raining with a chilly southerly. Admittedly it isn't quite as cold as it has been recently, but that's not much of a consolation since it's hardly warm. Bloody hell, Central Otago sure got a pounding! Liberally coated with snow and ice - TV3 news did a piece on it at 6pm, it'll probably be shown again on Nightline at 11pm if anyone's interested. Glad you didn't risk taking the VStrom Jantar, that would have been nasty. Even if you'd maintained traction yourself you'd have had a pretty high chance of a car sliding into your path.
My bike's shivering under its cover outside. At least it's not getting soaked through, but it's cold out there! Still... rather it than me! :cold:

Global warming? Nah, it's just fumes from all those 4x4's picking up stranded bikers! Enjoy the winter. Cheers -
