I want to have my hair cut tomorrow.
Where should I go?
Parameters:
I live just south of Onehunga -- but CBD is only 50mLs sweat of frantic kickstarting away
I'm a student. I know the days of $10 haircuts have passed, but I'd prefer to spend under $20
I don't want to look like complete arseThank-you for your respectful and polite commentary :innocent:

My guy takes some off for student price, so might pay to ask when you book it if they can do you a 'student' price.

Did you ever see those home hair cutters/ vacuum jobbies on infomercial TV in the wee smalls?
Bodge your own. Attach clippers to your Mum's hoover with duct tape and bob's your auntie.:Punk:
Plus when you get your hair cut with this method, you instantly stare straight ahead with a fixed grin on your face. Just like on the telly.
But seriously, what's wrong with getting a set of clippers? $20 bucks and last forever if you oil them after each use. Looks great and girlies LURV cutting hair. . .
(Someone else can make the obvious comment about which lot of hair are we talking about etc).:innocent:

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>There's a few problems with this method -- 1) I'm long sighted, this will cause me to violate my third parameter and 2) Not all girlies love cutting hair -- if I asked the girlfriend she'd most likely shave it all off and serve it to me in my porridge

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Isn't he bald? Never seen a photo, but he does ride a Triumph, right?
Hahaha. Warkworth is pretty (from my childhood memories of some river), I ought to trek up there some day.
<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Isn't he bald?
Yeah my bad........lol.........he is bald so I really cant go wrong. Warkworth is a lovely place to live, far enough away from the crap that Auckland can be, and yet close enough to go and play up if you want to. Anytime you fancy a ride up this way just PM either of us, we are easily persuaded to get out for a ride!
This Kanji in your signature, what does it say?

We share the same barber and hair style..........I find this quite disturbing.
But, Mr Barber is about the best deal around locally, go in the afternoon if you want the younger barber, otherwise you get to discuss tennis with a more elderly gent (he's still a good barber but may not be to your taste).

I think there still are $10 haircut bars? I think ones on queenstreet.

So don't cut it all; then it'll only look half-arsed. Problem solved :dodge:

Cheers :D Wish it'd stop raining so I could at least contemplate a longer ride -- not that you guys seem to have that problem today up there!
Not Kanji, not sig, just an excerpt from a poem to say I really ought to know my own city (and its hairdressers! lol) better than this.

Excellent -- I go past there all the time on my way to to work. Remember gazing inside, trapped inside a bus while the RS was laid up. Looking for something a little more complicated than `Grade 2 all over', we'll see what he can do
That said, I do have hair in excess right now, so if the barber's drunk he has ample opportunity to try and try again

Seriously?
I have a Remmington, I use it without a comb and cut everything down to a fuzz. It's easy to keep and I never get helmet hair.
I do, however, still get my pubes caught under my foreskin from time to time. Bloody annoying and I'm now considering going completely haywire with the Remmington.

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Lol. Problem is, I like girls -- nice girls -- the sort of girl that doesn't go for a fuzz-cut.
As for your second paragraph... `the goggles! They do nothing!!'

Yes they do!
They keep wet compounds from entering the visual arenas of my earthly being.
In other words, nobody will ever cum in my eye!

Except the younger bloke has one of those straggly rat-tail things at the back of his head....I sit there struggling with the temptation to grab the scissors myself....

chop it all off... that you you don't have to brush it in the morning, it won't tangel, and you won't need to wash it, which will save you money from buying shampoo... :innocent:
And apparently females don't like body hair... including on the head :dodge: :slap:

Bugger I saw this too late methinks...
Mother in law is a hairdresser in Manurewa, would probably have cropped ya locks for a hug...
As for me, as others have said, a set of clippers is all you need - #0 for summer is about right
