A four year old girl owes her life to the swift actions of a biker who saw her wandering in traffic on Staten Island… with a sheet pulled over her head.
When Frank Ramunni saw Nevach Whyte, he quickly rode into the traffic, got as close as he could then leapt off the bike, sprinted to the girl and pulled her to safety.
The girl’s 13 year old sister was supposed to be baby-sitting while their mother went to Manhattan to visit their father, but was sleeping in their home, some 150 feet away from where Ramunni saw Nevach.
Ramunni said the girl's parents thanked him ‘over and over’, but didn't appear to grasp the gravity of the near-tragedy. "They were laughing when they got out of the cab. The girl could have been killed" said Ramunni "The mother should be arrested."
