I do not live in New Zealand but I have been checking out pictures of your country at backpack-newzealand.com...
Looking at pics of Kaikoura, Wellington, Kapiti...
Absolutely awesome IMO.
If you guys could turn me on to some better pics that would be really cool.
My wife and I badly deserve a vacation and New Zealand looks awesome for sure!
Help a guy convince his wife to take a break in New Zealand guys.
Any tips as to what I should do and see and/or how I could possibly save some money on this adventure would be greatly appreciated for sure...
My wife has been good to me and if I can convince her how cool this place is... She won't mind me sqandering our money so much. :innocent:
I hate to say this here in a public forum but I got another question as well...
How is the Ganja situation over there? I can't bring this stuff on the plane and beer just ain't gonna do it for me friends... :shit:
I hate to ask her to stuff my 'baggie' up her ass as that could very easily RUIN a very good bag of 'stuff' but... Could someone please 'clue me in' here... PM will be fine friends as I just need to learn the rules and stuff and am NOT looking to stir up any garbage here.
Just want to make sure I can still get my smoke on if you know what I mean... :innocent:
Appreciate any help or tips here friends.

You can't see the ugliness of New Zealand... it's not initially apparent, and it's not the scenery... bottom line, don't buy your ganja from gangs. It's widely available, you can get pointed in the right direction pretty easily. Are you coming to the South Island? Even an outsider can score weed in somewhere like Blackball.
/edit: It's winter here, you'll pay about NZD$300 for an ounce at the moment. More if you just rock up to a country pub, less if you find a friendly local ;) to do it for you.

Give it a couple of months and Sue Bradford will have it legal. Otherwise, just stroll on into any 'nick' and ask...they'll look after you.

Not sure which island to visit but plan to stay at least 5 days of so...
Thanks for the 'other' tips as well friend. I appreciate you being honest with me here.
I got to go look up the currency converter and check but... GOD DAMN you guys are getting Fing RAPED dude!!! :brick: :brick:
The wife is going to have to 'bend over' before I pay anything like that... I would store it myself but sadly... I have a very 'small' butt and a 'reasonable' habit... Sucks to be me for sure!
I get bad pissed if I have to drop off more than a $100 for an 'O' around here and it is usually under $80 at the worst...
Our shiznit ain't all that bad either...
Thanks for the time and tips imdying...

GOD DAMN you guys are getting Fing RAPED dude!!! :brick: :brick: You have to appreciate two things... it's winter here, frosts aren't good for the crop. And our dollar is extremely strong against the greenback at the moment... unfortunately, this is the worst possible time for you to be coming, normally your dollar would buy a whole heap more here that what it currently does.

Ride around in my county all 'tooled' up and I'll be the first to pot you.
You come here you obey our laws.............the same as I obey yours in your country..............ganja included.
We have enough 'stoners' on the road as it is with out anymore.
Hope you have a good time in our fair land. If you need a place to kip in Chch there's room here for both you and the wife. PM me if needed.

Awesome about you coming over on our fair shores.
Although I live in the North Island (dorkland, sob!), I'd reckon seriously the South Island is the best darn place on Earth. Even though at the moment, it's blowing gail, raining sleet and mountains of snow are making her as pretty as icing sugar cake.
They've got some pretty decent backpakers too, which keeps the cost down and makes meet some pretty interesting people.
And re: all the other stuff, sorry mate, but I'd tend to agree with Skyrider.
No gun necessary around here, and I travel around all the time. Folks are for the majority friendly, down to earth and helpful and we like to keep it that way.
Apart for that, have the most awesomest visit!

Been to your country a few times (loved it)-never needed a gun (but used them plenty!) but maybe I had good instincts on what to avoid - and knew the right people.
5 days is hardly enough time to have a good look around if you want to see most of the country - small we may be but variety we have a lot of.

Fly into Christchurch - rent a cheapie little rental car and drive in any direction, stay in camping grounds (Top 10 give you a discount card) for cheap accomodation and avoid the tourist traps like the plague.
Thats about it.
We don't publish pictures of the really nice bits otherwise we would not be able to breathe for 'investors'...
re the dope? Don't bother - Its freely availiable here but you will end up dealing with people who see tourists as organic ATM's and you will be exposing yourself to increased risk! Seriously - if you can't do without it for 5 days spend the money on rehab my friend.

I kid you not friend... We keep it in a good size enclosure and my wife has trained the damn thing to shit in a litterbox at the bottom. The darn thing is also 'regular' to some extent and tends to crap about the same time each day...
Sucks to be us... :Punk:
She had it running loose in the backyard one day and our 70lb dobie came running up and scared it... :shit: I got pissed because the friggin purebred dobie that I paid 'extra' for backed up when a sissy ass little lizard/worm smacked it's tail and hit it's nose...
Why me?

Thanks for the tip mate...but I've no intention of carrying a firearm.
I believe doing so gives you a false sense of security.....leading you to feel 'safe' going to places you shouldn't. You then end up having to use it.
Rather sift in places I feel are safe.
