Now why do you have a thing for a snoman with a carrot for a nose .... that's just sick.
BTW: You'd don't need to shout, even little un-bolded entries get read.

No, I left the bike at work last night. So it'll be the 4x4 for the next two night shifts, then I'll probably bring the bike home on sunday or monday.
2 hours after the last photos were taken it looked like this. Same angle as photo 1. in the first post.

Lucky 'Goodby Pork Pie' wasn't released in June/July or the Mini's Return just wouldn't have the same appeal.
I'm glad you live in that picture postcard and not me. The 1 to 2 degrees minimum reached in Wgtn is quite low enough thanks.

not huge mate .. I am in lower north island ... was just walking out of door & massive flash of lightening & poof complete blackness .. affected Tokomaru, Opiki, Foxton, Shannon, Levin, Otaki & North Manukau.. then we were locked outta call centre for about 20 odd mins .. can just imagine everyone who was affected trying to get through ... our Dunedin call centre took up the slack for a bit ..

Heres the view out my kitchen window at the moment - about 20cm on the deck and with the wind over night there are some big drifts on parts of the road. Theres meant to be more snow tonight and then it looks like its going to clear up and freeze solid for god knows how long - the novelty wears off rather quickly.
Yesterdays snow was heavy wet stuff that came in waves and melted a fair bit between each lot, but the overnight stuff is dense powder that is hard to walk in and won't melt quickly - be great for skiing on though
OK the site won't let me put up the same pic twice so here's the link

While you (RM) were swanning around taking wintery pictures I got out all the rally badges I have lying around and fitted them to a large piece of polystyrene, it looked quite impressive by the time I finished mounting (ooo-err!) the 63 badges I managed to find.
Some 'extinct' ones there to like the RMCC ones shaped like a helmet from the old 12 (?) Mile Delta site and the original Hokonui ones too..

I had thought a week should be enough. :sunny:
Thanks for posting those beauties Jantar. Keep warm and maybe skip any road rides for a day or two. Got a dirt bike? I used to ride the 125SL to work in Chch in the snow. Man that was fun.

Blimey mate. Karen and I watched the news tonight and we wondered how you were getting on at the farm. Stunning scenery. Hope your hanging in there and have power.

Reminds me of what we had here last year 10 days back to the day  though you've got a bit to go to get to the amount we had, at least your panoramas are a lot better viewing :Punk:
