My ex breast-fed me for a weekend. I hadn't tasted breast milk since I was about 2, it was interesting. The reason was her kids were with the father for a week, and her breasts grew giant and swollen and sore. So she asked me. We were into quite a bit of experimental sex at the time, so it wasn't weirder than the ususal goings on in the house.

Fucking oath...while you're at it, did she take it up the arse too?

Ok, ok, rough, but you started your sex chat.

Personally, each to their own. Both my kids are well off the tit, but bonding is larger than my comprehension and if either my wife or the kids wanted to then I wouldnt get in the way (barring thirstiness or experimental sex)

A real vast set of opinions on something that most people do a shit load of research on prior to undertaking. Several friends of mine breastfeed for extended periods without a problem ... and without every weirdo goof going on about weird and strange ... but before undertaking did alot of reading and gained a lot of understanding prior ... maybe there needs to be more of that prior to showing nature at work. Weining a child is something we choose to do .. a child will naturally wein in their own time if they are left to it.

 It wasn't that many years ago that a similar thing was caught in the act after a wedding function in Methven
A couple had got married and held their function at the then Centrepoint Resort in Methven, due to what had been arranged the newly weds along with the rest of the wedding party stayed the night at the resort before the newly weds departed on their honeymoon the following day.

The bride & groom had the honeymoon suite and the rest of the wedding party were distributed around the resort, supposedly at the end of the nights festivities everyone withdrew to their allocated rooms etc.
After a couple of hours or so the groom left his bride saying he had to go somewhere, a short period of time went by and the bride started to get concerned so decided to investigate where he'd gone to. With no luck to be had finding him in likely places she thought she'd check with the groom's mother who was in a room not far from the bridle suite.

Being concerned about the grooms whereabouts the bride just waltzed into the groom's mothers room to inform her of his absence, Unfortunately for her she walked right into the groom going hard-out on mummy's tit :baby:
You can imagine the rest but there was plenty of embarrassment by a few people, a divorce, and the people involved were the butt of many jokes afterwards.

Though at The southern KB gathering at Otematata last year a certain KBer expressed a fascination with Lactating breasts  mmm 98*** :wait:

I dont know what sort of research you would do on breast feeding, once the child is about 3 years of age surely they should be on solid food. What gain are they getting apart from a comfort thing. Is the mother getting off on feeding at that age of the child. My children were breast feed but stopped before they turned 3.Each to there own- but feeding till that age sure seems strange to me.

Repugnant is the word for it. Interesting to know when the girls are going to "wean themselves" off. 18? 21? 35? When does the natural become un-natural?

I don't see the problem. Sure it's weird but who's being hurt?
Those kids in the video seemed nice and well adjusted, the mum was rational and seemed like a good mum, better than a whole lot of kiwi state-housing mums anyway.
It's strange but that's no reason to get anyone to stop it.

lol. you are asking the wrong person. i've given it way too much thought already :zzzz: .

By the way, ..I said "when does the natural become un-natural?" don't twist my words in that I said it "is un-natural"

Your comment about "kiwi state housing mums" is more likely to "hurt" someone than the thought of a breastfed 8 year old does

i think it's kind of weird how the girls cant stop touching and talking to their mother's boobies... i really don't see how that ISNT purely weird!! ...

I personally weaned myself in about 4 months, my mother had no say in the matter... breastfeeding for longer than necessary is just... unnecessary...

ok, i get the bonding thing.. but... nah mate, wont catch me doing that with my kids in the future..

The fact that they were hippies aided the situation me thinks. Funny things happen before, during and after pregnancy though and there are no guarantees of mentatlity which its only natural. To some people, eating dog is natural, sticking a cooked plant on their cock, eating poo stew or having a prearranged marriage to a stranger. None offend if an open mind is kept of different cultures and decisions.

Now if the 8yr old was on the boob while daddy rear ended her I'd be offended. sorry, I can only remain serious for one paragraph

a child will naturally wein in their own time if they are left to it.

Not always. A large portion of the mums in our circle of friends, found their bubs trying to wein way too early, and if the Mums had not stuck with it, they would have missed out on the headstart that breast milks gives a child. Children are subject to the same addictions and compulsions we all suffer from, and to ignore the baby personality, and just say "they will wein themselves", is a bit of a dangerous statement really.

I think I would understand if it was a boy.. purely because it is a male thing to love breasts.. sure I love mine but I wouldn't want to be sucking someone elses! And I surely don't want to taste someones milk!!

And I think I would understand if the dad wanted to have a suck.. cause it is quite a sexual thing (she even mentioned sexuality in the clip).

One thing I find weird is that I thought that you only made milk for a certain amount of time. Otherwise wouldn't I have enormous milk filled breasts? (I haven't had a baby but ya know what I mean!!)

As I understand it, two interesting things
1) As long as you feed, the breasts will produce milk
2) As long as you produce milk, the body does a natural contraceptive thing and you can't get preggers again until you stop feeding.

I believe this is true and not urban legend ... must go check

I saw a 7 year old doing it in the clip....7 - 8 its all the same. If the breast milk is so important at that age why doesnt the mother just express and jam a bottle in the kids mouth? As it is they both fight for room on the couch - at least with a bottle it would take the awkward and clumsiness out of the equation...

Well it can be a contraceptive - but not one that anyone wants to take for 100% reliability....

And although I didn't watch the whole video, I could see very well that the mother was certainly uncomfortable about breastfeeding that child. Check out her facial expression when she turns to the camera...

Edit : just went checking on extended breastfeeding and while the research shows that in toddlers there are still health benefits for mother and child... it didn't seem to go into how beneficial it is in school aged children....

My mum has somewhat hippyish tendencies and my little sister spent several years at an "alternative" school (now defunct, was called Childrens Learning Group.. VERY alternative, makes steiner/montessori looks positively mainstream.. ). I remember talking to one of the other mums there who breastfed one kid till 5-6ish and the other to 8-9ish.. I thought it was pretty fucking weird then too.. I definitly think its a hippyish thing.

I breastfeed two of my children and stopped before their first year. I did this to give them the best start in life and to give them any immunities I might have had in my milk. (Although they both never gained much weight, and my second child never slept through the night until I gave her formula).

If you breast feed over the age of a year, I think it is more for a comfort, like sucking your thumb, or having a dummy. These girls would already have immunities of their own, and it has just become a habit, something they dont really need. I think its pretty sick indeed.

Its all about supply and demand, Mother nature is an amazing thing really, you produce as much as is required, when it is needed.

Have not checked those links but, yes breastfeeding will act as a contraceptive, provided that it is done often and regularly, even then not fool proof, personally I would not rely on it soley. It kept me safe for about 8 months after my first baby, for the next baby, I used something else as well..........LOL
As far as feeding older kids goes, not for me at all! Something a bit wrong about that. Little babies need mothers milk, I have had 3 kids, all breast fed, and none past the age of 1, did not seem to have done them too much harm being weaned "early"

Im not sure how vegans would react, they don't drink milk because of the veal industry and modern farmin tec-knee-eeks (sp) but human milk will have consent of the "animal" so it could be ok.

Ive always wonderd what about if u had a pet cow and milked it ur self, would it be ok, and when it died naturally would u be allowed to eat it?
