SRAD headlight not headlighting

Righto guys, tell me what you think about this.

Yesterday after me new bike's sat in the rain all day I fire it up and the headlights flicker on off, on off and then refuse to turn on. 'Pass' switch works fine at turning the high beams on while it's held down, but otherwise, nothing.

Bike's dry again now and the headlights are back to normal, so something's presumably screwing up in the wiring when it gets wet.

The previous owner (hi Alick!) got the road gear back on just the week before I picked the bike up - it was in race trim prior to that, so I'm assuming there's a connection that need WD40'ing or similar to keep the wet at bay.

Any ideas what I should be plugging and unplugging? Anyone got a wiring diagram for a '99 GSX-R750 SRAD?

It's prolly wired up fine (so you won't need a wiring diagram) just that the connections could be better sealed perhaps.

I had a similar prob with my '98 Ducati - ended up with a short that cost me a few fuses while I found it in the headlamp. Disconnected all the Italian style connections and re-attached them Scottish style - no more probs.

I laugh not. I had a VW just the same. And a mini that wouldn't run in the wet but for the washing up glove over the distributor.

Thanks guys, I was wondering what would be best to seal the connections with, forgot about Vaseline.
