hey guys.
with winter hitting us hard, i thought i might take this opportunity to organize a 250 ride.
meet at Caltex Thames at 11:00am on sat the 7th of July.
il be taking my Honda, so the pace will be learner friendly.
All bikes welcome, and it would be nice to see a few cruisers come.

this ride will be a gentle meander around the coro loop.

PM zero index for questions.

cheers-carver & the hammie crew.

mmmm ok then, i still think that a saturday ride is not as good as a sunday ride. If you decide to change the day then post it all up for us and count me in lol

Ok people, if I have any money for gas, and it's dry I'll be out... might need new tires really soon...

If I do come out I'll be looking for some straights to practice wheelies on :)

*Reminder for myself: Return my rear tire pressure back to normal if I make it on the Coro Loop

Saturday, you'll miss some people out, Sunday you'll miss some people out.

Why doesn't a Sunday rider organise a Sunday ride?

Will see if I can slip me leash and make it for a squirt... might try and drag some n00bs down to keep me company!

I say (speak on behalf of mates too) better to have the ride on the sunday it looks bright as.. as compared to sat which looks gloomy... esp in auck. Plus I believe the coro is not a route to be ridden in the wet... comments?

last time i was down there i believe some of the dark tree covered twisties tend to get alittle slippery

Cr1MiNaL
4th July 2007, 17:42
yea the road there gets no sunlight coz of the tall thick trees and hence moss grows on the corners of the roads... its right with all the 40 bends too .. dodgy stuff that moss... hence I will only do it on a dry day.

hey all, Yes "R6-4life" the coro loop is not at all the best for riding in the wet, and can be tricky for experienced riders let alone some of the new comers to motorcycling.

I know this loop very well as my parents are based in coromandel town so this is where i learnt to ride, the loop is stil fun in the damp or wet but no where near as fun as it can be.

I still thin that itd be better to do this event on a sunday as previously suggested and then ill turn up and my mate on his R6 will probably come too, however up to all the other riders i suppose.

What do ya'll think?? Keep it saturday or change to sunday??

( atleast 3 bikes will b commin down from A-Town)... pm me ur celly.

The official news at this stage from Hamiltons perspective is: Ride = Cancelled...
If it is sunny on Sunday (which I really hope it is), I'm gonna go find a spot to see if I can find BP (not the petrol station...)

How does that work? I've quit the whole racing around like a squid... I'm hoping for some sunny empty carparks this weekend, but by the horrible rain outside, it's only a dream...
