Anyone know where I can buy a TRE in NZ?
(TL1000S)
Ive soldered one up but I'd really dont want to cut into my wiring harness, prefer to plug it in....

You can make one yourself........go to TLZONE.NET for instructions......or get one for bugger all off the same site......the 97 will require different plug than the others.........sure someone will point you to one here if that doesnt suit your needs.

I'll make and solder one in for you.
I even have the resistor and transistor here
One can buy the plugs off Suzuki if you want it to plug in to the harness.

I have soldered up one based on the diagram in Steves tl1000 pages. its goes open circuit in neutral to retain the neutral maps.
I made a modification tho so that it can be switched on and off as well as being able to switch select 5th or 6 gear, just to see which was best - presumably 5th would be too lean for a top speed run and 6th would over fuel in the upper rev range?
I'll see if I can buy the connector blocks....

On a TL, it shouldn't make a difference which gear you select.
The only reason people started using the 5th gear resistor was to defeat the top speed limiter on Gixxer1000s and Busses
