Righto need to decide on a time. Venue to be confirmed later once we work out who can actually make it.

Vote all that you can make it to. Winner takes all.

Decision will be made on the 1st of July so we have time to prepare.

For what its worth the 14th is the same night as BRONZ Otago's mid year do which looks like it would be good fun - look in your newsletter, if you haven't got one then you should bloody well join.

They also have a curling weekend scheduled for Aug up at Naesby which is meant to be good value (and child friendly they claim)

Anyway, the date don't worry me I shall be keen to just come along and parteeeeeeeeeeeeeee:sunny:

Sadly not this guy.
As President of Delta Rod & Custom Club Inc. I have to be at the annual prize-giving that night to allocate said prizes to the appropriate recipients.

Next time guys eh?

I can only echo NighthawkNZ's comments. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and arrived home safely @ 01:45. Roads were a little greasy, particularly around the floodfree...had a lovely wee slide coming off the Taieri bridge at about 130k's so took it a bit quieter for the rest of the journey.
See you all at the PP.

Big thanks to Silverfern and Ian for hosting last night (bling awarded when I can find a post from you!!) and Delphinus for keeping up with organizing it. Great fire, good food (could I have eaten another Creme Brulee???? - did you have it for breakfast Ken?), and good company. It does give me itchy feet for some warmer weather and some group rides though.

The road was bloody diabolical from Glenore through to my turnoff - got a minor twitch as a wee warning and then a rather larger one a moment later which could have been interesting if something had been coming the other way. React very gradually seems to help.
I was caught out because it didn't look icy and the cars' outside temp thing was still saying 4 degrees - it must have frozen earlier and then warmed up slightly. The road was just a sheet of black ice. Stuck it in 4WD after that which seemed to help and then just out of interest tried a hard braking test from a slowish speed at my turnoff - there wasn't much slowing!!! Once I got up the hill into cell reception I rang *555 so hopefully there was some grit spread before someone came to grief seriously.
Very pleased I wasn't on the bike because it was so unexpected I probably would have gone down.

A big thanks also from Liane and myself, to J & I for kindly hosting us all. Lovely warm fire to make us forget it was winter outside! Nice meeting everyone again, along with a few new faces. Great food and great company.

Two creme brulee's left - daughter and her BF just ate them. We guess Silverfern & Co are having ambrosia for lunch?

I think you passed us Bruce, at the last corner on Musselburgh Rise - bloody tree branch in the middle of the road - had to swerve around it. We immediately thought of Phaedrus coming down behind us on his bike, so went back to move it.

Glad that the folks from down south made it home safely. There was a couple of slippery patches on the Dunedin hill streets, so hopefully Phaedrus got home without incident (other than the suicidal pedestrian in Rattray Street)!

Roll on summer...:scooter:

yep, made it home without a problem. Ya gotta wonder if anything goes on in their heads, I probably would have invoked the wrath of gene-o-clean on myself if i didn't slow down

Hey everyone, thanks for your lovely comments, hope everyone enjoyed themselves, and yes, the last of the ambrosia was eaten tonight! Ian also enjoyed meeting you all too, and the young teens were adamant that they weren't interested in Ruralman's son! :)
The food was soooo yummy, and we didnt always talk about bikes did we! Please Phaedrus can I have the mashed cow recipe?
