Well thanks to a bunch of people The green meanie (My zxr750 ) has arrived home. Its now in my garage with a set of scrubbed in Pirelli Diablos on it thanks to Kerry at Motohaus. :sweatdrop
Its all stripped down to bare bones with all the lights and stuff gone.
Needed to be done is
1- fit exhaust system
2)get clutch working properly
3)Fit olins shock
4) Engine running propperly
5) drill sump plug /fit catch bottle.
6) refit cosmetics.
7)new brake pads
wHEWEEE.
So anyhoo--do I stick with the green paint job or repaint it yellow or do I use the red/black plastics.

If you are worried about stuffing it, that guy is still selling a set of plastics for a ZXR750 in AKL T&E for $400, he must be desperate by now so you could probably get them cheap...

Good grief! I thought my gargre was messy, but at least it doesn't look like several Kwakas have exploded all over it! Which I guess they have...

Can I borrow your head mechanic? She must be well trained, as she looks like she knows what she's doing.

Wow. After spending the last two years dragging my kids off that bike and watching it sitting forlornly in my in-laws barn, its nice to see it actually doing something now.

Please keep it green... :(

Lol -well actually for a 3 year old she was pretty darn good-No shit i just cracked the bolts a tadd loose then she took the footpeg and 2 grabrails off.
pretty dettermined lil lady.
Yep Im gonna sort out the gargre -Just no time to get it done
And celtic--I dunno dude --the chance to cheat is pretty tempting. lol
actually im thinking more like use the red plastics for the track and the green for the road.

Just to keep you guys n gals posted.I admitted defeat with the green meanie. Not a lack of a bility just a serious lack of time.
I've passed her over to Ricky at Mt Eden Motorcycles to do all the get it running type stuff.
It turns out that fitting a jappa motor isn't quite as simple as just tosssing it in the frame.
The kiwi Bikes are the full HP 117 hp motors wereas the jappas are resricted to below 100hp--How much Im not sure-but its substantial.
The kiwi bikes have different inlet cams,2 pickups in the airbox instead of one,a unrestricted speedo and revcounter and a few other bits and bobs.
Long story short I just asked ricky to get it pulling over 100hp at the back wheel and Ill be a happy boy.
For this meeting I'm gonna run the red plastics and then rip em off for the 3 or 4 months till the next meeting and run the origonal kwakka green

Nope dude It was a bit of horse trading . I mean what are the chances of finding 2 zxr750's -one with stuffed running gear -One with a stuffed motor
AND -having freinds good enough to put the two together for me.
The GSX1100 was a case of right time right place asking the right question.
I think its safe to say that your R65 probably cost more than all three of mine put together--and NO-I wont swap

Twas "built" from an ex-wreck not bought, so maybe not..... Come on... You know you wanna join the ranks of beemer riders. Every japper rider secretly harbours the desire to ride something with class :moon:
