I've had quite a few PM's and red rep in relation to "that dreaded thread". Hitcher, I know that you are a nice guy and I had no right to be so nasty.... I would also like to apologise to anyone else that I personally offended. While I still hold my views regarding spelling, grammar etc I let my own personal feelings toward the subject get in my way and I apologise to anyone and everyone that I offended.

Sorry.

I don't beleive you had to apologise Hels you where only saying your point the same as every one else in that thread. I green blinged you for it.

There where a few other post in that thread that offened me but in at end of the day you bascially wrote the truth. If there are people out there that can't except me because my grammer bad then that is there lost dont read what ever we post.

Thankyou for this! The reason that I am apologising is because I was being hypocritical. I was upset for what I saw as "nasty behaviour" yet I indulged in it myself. There are many ways to get a point across, you dont have to get nasty!

Fair enough, you can't be all that bad. I also green blinged ya as I felt that your comment was OK though I do tend to shoot from the hip as well when it comes to issues like that thread. Idon't think that Hitchers comments were 'nasty' but they were damn conceited and pompous (in my view) towards those that, for various reasons I guess, have a lesser (than him) education. He forgot what we are here for... Motorcycles.

You where no more hypocritical than what some of the other post where you where blunt and to the point.

I left school quite a few years ago if i wanted to go back to school i would.
I don't need this lot to red rep me because of our grammer.

Ahh fuck, htfu. I've just read the thread and you shouldnt be so prissy. This forum is about airing views, letting it hang out. You didnt attack anyone did you (or did I miss something). It was more just a bunch of people getting all chesty. Shit, if everyone appologised for being hypocritical on this site there wouldnt be any bandwidth to post digs at Maha (see what I did there? :shifty:)

I just thought, could a japenese vetinary gynaeocologist dealing mostly with large amphibius mammals be called hippoclitical?

Yeah, rep doesnt bother me that much but when alot of people are dishing it out to ya saying that I was being nasty, rude etc it kinda make ya think. And I made some nasty attacks rather than just voicing my opinion...

...must spread rep etc etc...

But seriously, onya for an apology - I'm in two minds, I could see your point and I applaud you for making it, but perhaps the delivery was a little off

(The next bit is general comment, not just to you Str8!)

The one thing that gives me a bit of a giggle, are those that scream "FREEDOM OF SPEECH!" and do not believe those rights extend to mods as well.

Believe it or not, mods are people too - their freedom of speech just tends to have a bit more bite, and often carries the accumulated wrath of dealing with sorting the crap of hundreds of posts per day.

I dunno, I see the merits of both arguments. Wish I didn't, this fence is starting to hurt my bum!

Str8, you chose to apologise publicly for crossing a boundary, and not living up to your own standards. Fair enough, you are the only one who can judge. Takes guts to do it publicly though, good onya.

Not that you had slipped down anyway, but you've gone up in my estimation for starting this thread. I think the opinions were getting a bit heated from many of us and there was a bit of nastiness but to apologise takes some guts and I am sure Hitcher appreciates it.

Unless you wrote something more inflamatory in the last couple of days then I hardly think you have anything to apologise about!

If you're going to say something, stick by it. There must of been a reason you said it in the first place.
Life would be better if people didn't go around saying stuff and then retracting it.
If you don't back yourself no one will; don't bother apologising, I'm sure everyone has already gotten over it.

I'm going to agree with Mom. Ya know what!!! Ferk it Hels... I usually troll the forums posting usually alot of crap.. I dont know how many times I have bitten my tongue, ... gone to Red Rep someone and havent, gone to post something because I disagree and havent, all because I dont want anyone to think ill of me or rock the boat....but you know what, we all have opinions and we all have a right to voice them. Hels you were speaking your mind, I respect you for it. Dont change aye!!

I'm with you gals. I wasn't going to post anything, because I think it takes a big person to apologise, but if you're apologising for having an opinion that is different from someone else's, then fark no, don't!! Have the people that slagged you off and red repped you etc apologised?... no, so stuff them, stick to your guns Helen!

Cool. Glad I got that right, in your incredibly important opinion.

Here's a simple question for you terbag (doubt any question I could give you would be classed as difficult seeing as you're on such a high pedestal).

Do you have any friends in the real world? I mean...sure I'm sure your holier-than-thou persona here may win some (here), but most people I know think hypocrites are tossbags. I'd never argue with that.

To some maybe. To me it simply means that if I feel someone's full of shit, I'll say so. I do that in 'real life' too. But I don't see that as making me an angry little man. I consider that not giving a toss what people may think of either myself, or my opinions. Here or out there.
