Casey Stoner proving himself to be the consistant rider on the Moto Gp grid this season, Wet or fine he is still at the sharp end of the pack, good bike good tyres and good rider. A very hard combination to beat.

I think Rossi must be having a nightmare with his tyres this season, he is still the best rider out there but is constantly struggling with tyre problems.

Tamada not racing as he was outside the time allowed. As were a number of top level 250 guys.
Annoyed we don't get the 125's and 250's.

Is that confirmed? There were also a lot of 125 guys that didn't make qualifying mark either (Pasini included) due to the rain. I would imagine that race direction will allow everyone from all classes to compete. As at mugello when Lorenzo missed the qualifying mark.

Yep a few times, free practice at turkey I can remember. I think at le mans in the wet practice too maybe. Not in any races though. Rossi has dropped it a few more times than stoner.

Stoner for the win, hopkins 2nd and hayden 3rd. Forecast for sun.

Speak of the devil!!! Stoner crashes in morning warmup. Still no concern. Kentucky Kid fastest with rossi 2nd. Will see how well a start rossi gets as to how well he will go in the race.

Well who would of thought it was possible

weird that they all ran out of fuel except the Suzukis and Yams after the race.

Also interesting how Stoner was saying the big fairings which make the Duke fast in a straight line where effecting him with the strong side winds!

Found this reading about Rossi on Wikipedia,

"Rossi has stayed with the now-famous #46 throughout his career. The text on his helmet refers to the name of his group of friends: "The Tribe of the Chihuahua", and the letters WLF on his leathers stand for "Viva La Figa" or "Long Live Pussy".

Still blows me away that someone who gets to the first corner in 9th can win a race. Too many years of watching F1 and Racing Taxis.

Was great to watch...not quite as good as Catalunya, but a better result. Just wish that cock hadn't posted the result in the thread title.

So that just proves again that he is the BEST RACER in the field. And can't see why any one would bother with F1?

Re the announcers, we lost the Poms for this race, it was broadcast on CBS, and Kevin Schwantz is one of their announcers. He's pretty good, actually - when De Puniet nailed Vermuelen, Kevin was going 'aaaahhhhh, nnoooooo' as the Kawasaki's front let go, it was classic, it sounded like all he wanted to say was 'you complete dick' about the move, but sufficed with the long unbelieving groan! And there's not nearly as much talking, they just let the screen do that, which is actually quite a nice change from the sometimes o.t.t of the regular guys (and any other announcer of AMA races, excpet Freddie Spencer).
Rossie was immaculate, this time again, wasn't he?! And Nicky on a charge is fine to see.
Cheers

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>I like the Japanese commentators you have over there. Was watching some old F1 stuff on Youtube (Senna and Prost, I think) and they got so excited one almost blew a head gasket. Also, watched a clip where dear Nigel Mansell's Williams blew up on the last lap in Canada (I think) whilst in the lead and the dear screaming Japanese gentleman nearly floated away, he was very very excited.

+1 to that Barry, I was thinking at the time wouldn't it be nice to hear more engine noise instead of yarp yarp yarp ! If you've ever heard Moto in the flesh its something else ?
