Just got back a little while from chaperoning a school ball. Since this is a foundation school, it's the first time the seniors have had one.
Not one incident. No problems. Nada. Zip. Sweet Bupkiss.
I should be grateful, but it made for a slow, boring night! Only trouble I had was when students came up to me asking for a dance! I was feeling a little tender from my off... but I got into it and then sat back down and waited till it was all over rover.
Missed watching the rugger 'cause of it sheesh! And I had to pay the privilege of $20 to attend it! :pinch: I made sure I got my $$'s worth from the buffet and dessert.
Was blardy funny watching the poor girls with strapless dresses hoiking them back up when they were lurching around on the dance floor! :o :innocent:
I ended up being the bag-holder as all and sundry used the teacher's table to ensure no-one plundered them. Made $250 that night! (j/k)
Ride home on the bus was a sedate affair, I chatted with the amiable driver as we sorted out the problems of NZ and the world in the half-hour drive back Southside (event held at Crowne Plaza).
Right, better things to do ... sort out the little ol'Hornet, Daisy and the minimoto bike I picked up today! W00t!

how about young girls dress in questionable position , after teacher/parent holds bags ...

Wonder if the rest of NZ is like that ......

after all that i hope you got laid.
You should've spiked the punch!
What's wrong with youngsters these days? Or maybe they waited until the after party for the real action!

Heck, the photos would have been as boring as the ball! When I was talking to them after we got back off the bus, most of them were saying "I'm waiting for my parents to pick me up, I'm knackered and just want to go to bed"
Others were doing the usual thing and waiting for their boi-racer mates to pick them up. The good thing I overheard once was "You guys haven't been drinking have you? I can see bottles on the floor... I ain't getting in...screw that!" Far too sensible! Didn't need my usual spiel about how "I don't want to read about you in the paper tomorrow" or "Try and survive tonight and the term break" and the classic "I hope you won't be leaving school in nine months time..."
It's a good thing, even if it makes my life boring. Boring is good.

What's with that? In my day a ball wasn't a ball unless you awoke in a pool of your own vomit.
As for getting picked up by your parents - what's wrong with teetering home on your push bike?.
Damn kids have it too easy these days...

Obviously you've never tried to "teeter" home on a push bike in a dress, heels and with a hand bag :p... oh and don't forget the long fake nails that could possibly break!! :shit::dodge:
