Cheers mate-thanx for your help.
A red chain may sound gay but for riding FMX the bike needs to look a bit different.
Good to get positive feedback

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Yeah I did get out of the wrong side of bed lol. Just seemed a bit crap that not one serious suggestion had been made, yet everybody was telling him his bike would look gay (joking, yes).

Post-coffee I realise I looked stupid :sunny:

I notice you haven't got an MX bike listed in your profile. Never seen that sorta shit here in the MX thread. We are all mates here, no need for it!

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Who cares what sort of bike I've got. You know, the guy had about 5 posts -- if I was brand-new on a forum, and I asked a serious question and people started telling me I had homosexual tastes in bike equipment, I wouldn't be feeling very welcome. He took it well, of course, but still I don't think it's very appropriate to treat newbies that way until they've at least been properly introduced.

My post, pre-coffee, may have been been excessively obscene, but you'll notice it took until that before a serious response was made.

Remind me not to get a trail bike if you're all so elitist.

I noted what sort of bike you had because until you've been to an MX or cross country you have no idea of the kind way we treat, and look after each other. There is nothing like it, not even on road bikes.

I dare you to open ANY recent thread in MX and you won't find the language or aggression your one post showed. If you had given it some time before wading in all guns blazing the good advice would have come. We would be the least elitist of all bikers.

I'll let your posts speak for themselves!

Oh by the way I there may be some anger managemant coarses in Manukau. You might want to check the local paper!!!

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>*Sigh* that's all very well, mate, I'm used to the ribbing and humour around here. But I was disappointed to see a newbie being treated that way asking his first question with only a handful of posts under his belt. He took it well, but I think a lot of others would probably not bother.

Anyway I'm going to butt out now. Just disappointed to see people new to KB treated like that, meant humorously or not.

Not bad googling skills, made by Driven USA ( http://www.drivenracing.com/content.cfm/go/chains ), it's actually an interesting idea, though I'd go green of course :).

My honest opinion is that i did wonder what was going on after making my first post.Cheers to all that have helped and dont worry - i will be sticking around.
Just to let you know ( and i know its off the subject ) but riding FMX is different to moto and racing. The top guys are good to get along with and welcome the up and coming riders. Its all about having fun and after all thats the main reason we all ride weither it be on or off road.
If anyone has ever been to the Brass Monkey ralley they will know what i mean.We can jump all day long, get off our bikes and mix with the hard core bikers, the suits and the kids. The roadies seem to appreciate what we can do but i admire the road bikers for their skill and talents. Its takes alot of this to ride on the road too and big balls.
Hats off to every one who rides and cheers for making me feel welcome to this site.PRYDEE

I would think it would be no more gay than those who ride a suzuki and allways fit gold series chains due to the colour guess im lucky mine had frame repaint black with a flec in it and black plastics (unless this just means im now a westie) :headbang:

That will look mean bro... I was hoping to get a colored chain for my FZR (at least gold), but I just got the crappy standard metal color...

Talking about chains and sprockets, are there any places that will anodize a small dinnerplate-sized sprocket, preferably in Hamilton
