It's not too bad for headroom - leg room is not great - and getting in and out of the rear door is a prob for me. Once in it's ok.

Front is magnificent. Cockpit is elegant - some things I wonder why - 30% of the instrument cluster is an analogue clock WUWT in this day and age. But it's very nice.

Yes - I send my girl out to do it.

25 years of it that I know of.

Met her when she was a scrub sister, she worked all the way through raising two kids, put herself through 2 university degrees along the way and now works 60 plus a week making a difference in the private health sector.
She runs a nice car - had Mercs for 10years.

I lost all right of complaint about her cars when I bought my third motorcycle - at the time.

Mercedes-Benz CLS 500/55
Why the CLS wins the Design category: Did you look at it? To us, it's a rolling metal sculpture of a racing greyhound or a thoroughbred. The long wheelbase mimics legs stretched out front and rear, the nose low, straining for the finish line. The CLS is essentially a four-passenger sedan built off the more staid E-Class's chassis. It just happens to have a very special wrapper. There are two models: the CLS 500 with a 302-hp V8 and seven-speed automatic, and the CLS 55 AMG with a 469-hp V8 and five-speed automatic. And, okay, the high belt line means small side windows. And that sweeping roof profile results in less headroom. Honestly, who cares? We don't. This car screams forward motion and will always rate a parking valet's favored spot.

No wonder you had trouble getting ensconced behind the wheel.

This Merc looks a bit like a silver suppository. I don't like its mean little side windows or the general balance of its panels and overall symmetry. Which disappoints me, because I am generally a huge fan of MB, which has made many truly beautiful motorcars over the years. This dildo is not one of these.

I used to live in South Africa, and the freeways were constantly littered with broken down brand new BMW's... So much that they actually created a BMW-only service of having mechanics in BMW's driving up and down the freeways 24/7 with car-attach-tow-hitches on them... that's what I base my previous post on...

what BMW stands for? That would be Barvarian Money Works. They can get apparell made in China for $246.84, retail it for $607.50 excluding GST, then add $538.44 GST and get away with it. or the $1751 jacket that you have to pay another $600 for the gortex liner. If it has a BMW logo it will be overpriced!
Or as my son says...Black Man's Willy!

Apart from a couple of GTHO models in the 1970s, Ford Australia has yet to build a truly great car. The Falcon is really nothing more than an elaborate hoax: a shamelessly recycled bit of late 1960s kit that Ford has managed to squeeze about 40 years of sales out of. Do they still come with a banjo rear axle, bench front seat, and three-speed column shifter? It must be demoralising when you're part of a marketing department (Fords) that has to wring nearly 10 years out of every model change while your major competitor (Holden) seems to be able to get out a fresh model every two or three. Not to mention running a "touring" car that wouldn't be competitive unless the rules were stacked in your favour.
