Hydraulic drive? Diesel? A cruiser? Well... I'm sure its mother thinks it's handsome.

Good God that thing is hideous. I'm all for trying new things in the technology department, but whay does it have to be so ugly?

Hydraulic oil leaking from the rear drive motor. That would make for an interesting experience.:shit:

will be interesting to see his mates bike when finished if he plans to hide all the pipe work within the frame but any 700 pound bike is over the top

I have an interesting history with hydrostatic drives that I shall not go into the detail of here. Needless to say the noise from that set up must be phenomenal! Not to mention some deft coordination required between the engine throttle and the hydraulic pump displacement control. The cost would be significant and the torque would be significantly less than if there was a direct connection between the wheel and the engine.

For goodness sake, that has to be one of the most hideous bikes ever, and that includes that Bimota thing and the foot-forward steel-faired thing.

Has there ever been a beautiful diesel engine?

I once had a hard-on for hydrostatic drives that is beyond the imaginations of most. But you are all decent god-fearing folks, so I shall not elaborate further.

At last someone has built a big bike that is economical. How about a GN250 with a diesel implant? That would be interesting.

It would be even more economical without the hydrostatic, but perhaps not as "throttle" responsive.
