Any recomendations anyone? Just got myself an 04 R6 with nearly shot Qualifiers on it & im wanting to get something that'll last longer. Was thinking along the lines of Pilots maybe,as Ive run a pair of their pilot actives on my bros650 (different league I realise) & got 12000k outta them & ride them out to the edge all the time with never a slip...so kinda impressed with michelin. Riding generally either touring or fanging round the Buller gorge block

Ive had better mileage and grip from Dunlops 208rr than the pilots by 1000 ks
I ride fairly hard and do alot of track days as well as general road stuff and swear by these 208s. Im running them on a z1000 at the moment so a fairly heavy bike as well. Just my opinion tho

I'd swear by Continental
I ride on the Road on RaceAttack, or SportAttack.
And I race on RaceAttack Comp.

All of these are tyres designed for user 'feel' and as such are by far the most predictable and easy to ride tyre I have encountered. Perhaps outright grip is minutly lower, from experience, feel is significantly better.

2ct`s are good tyres for straight line stuff where they don`t wear so much , in the center , but if you ride where the whole world is twisties go for the Pilot Powers ,I ride on them and I`ve never had them cut loose on me once , You will love them , Best of luck in your choice , Be safe.

I think you are confused it was talking about the pilot power 2cts, which has same middle as a normal pp, but then softer sides,

there is also a pilot road 2ct, which follows simlar same middle as the roads, but softer sides(more normal pilot power standard)

I have had two sets of pp on the 600, and now on a set of pp 2cts, i had pilot roads on my old gsxr 1100

I had metzlers ME55s on mine. They stuck to the road like shit sticks to a pig.

I agree with 37, its an ausome tyre, was using the corsa but the race attacks
are the shit, sticky as hell when you get them warm, not so good in the winter but I wont use anything else for the road now.

opinions are like arseholes... everyone has one...

How many types have been listed already? Honestly mate, its not much help, but each person has their own idea of what they want, how they ride, what they want from the tyre.

Simple example... death had dunlop 208/218 (can't remember which exactly), and so did I, granted, different bikes. Anyway, he loved the edgy feeling they have, I hated it.

I'll stick my hand up for conti sportattacks. Had to get them when I couldn't get a 190 strada rear, and the 190/55 appealed to me. Done 1000k now, and really enjoying them. Stable as through corners, massive amount of lean angle can be achieved etc.

You just have to get something, and see if you like it.

Pilot Powers.

I get my recommendations from 'God' and thats what he's all about, he should know he tested tyres...

Michelin Pilot Powers are the best value traction and wear.

Tried all the rest came back to these.

Got my last set from the guys at Cycletreads in Auckland.

Check out their website for details.
