Try Open Office...????? the SpreadSheet is 99% compatible with excel and only the very advanced calulation and macros may not work the way you want.
If you only need to view an EXcel file then M$ do have a Excel Viewer

When i try to open a file i have on excel the following comes up
The feature you are trying to us is on a CD Rom or other removable disk that is not available
Insert the "Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage" disk and click OK

When you install Office you get the option not to install all the features (helps save disk space) and or install on demand, ie if the feature you require isn't installed when you open a file that requires that particular feature, plugin or filter it tries to install it from the same setup location (if installed from the likes of a network) or Install Setup CD...
However Front Page is M$ HTML Editor isn't it??? I haven't used M$ Office since about 2000 which was the last full version I have (but its not installed)
