That first photo was taken March 2003 at the Capital coast adventure ride. I was there waayy down on the left - lost - missed the turnoff at the top of the hill.
My pik is Terawhiti station looking towards Mana Island

How do you capture such large single frames? A special camera? Or is it several frames knitted into one by some fancy software? If so, what software?
