Anyone want to hook up for a leisurely "running-in" (4000 revs is 120kph on the twin) ride to Manfield on Saturday morning?

Was planning on leaving J'ville about 8am if anyone wants to co-ordinate a meeting place and time further up the line... maybe Shell Paremata?

What's happening at Manfield? I might be interested in going up/down with you Hooks. Will see how tired I feel later in the week.

David: see http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?p=93256#post93256 for details.

We'll be leaving home at 5.45am, having brekkie at the McCafe in Rangitikei St P/North, then will be at the track around 8.30am. We'll be taking the car cos we'll most likely be staying for the prizegiving afterwards.

Will keep an eye out for you guys (MarkNZ, Her_B4, Hooks et al) arriving - the forecast is looking promising!

I'm hoping for rain. Probably the only chance I've got for finishing ahead of Brent in the series (he's 2 points behind, but his new ZXR6 is faster than me :( )

Me and my wife are heading up to Palmerston North on Saturday morning. I'm keen to join the convoy if you'll have us.

What time are you leaving from the Plimerton Shell Station?

Yip will do. Hopefully will have some new boots to try out. :)

Just wonder if it costs anything to get in to spectate?

I'm out too, my wife has decided she would rather have a bit of a sleep in on Saturday and head up to Palmy about 10ish. If anyone's heading up at around that time then PM me and we can hook up.

Me and a couple of mates are meeting at the petrol stn with the Mc D's in Mana at 8 (I think that's the Shell you're all talking about?). Anyone's free to join us. We'll probably stop somewhere up the line for brekkie - the Motorcycle Cafe does a good fry up!

It's about 100m down the turn-off to Waitarere beach (between Levin and Foxton). Nice set up - bike stuff all over the walls, good kai, and tables outside which is great if the weather's nice. Might see you guys there, cause we'll probably end up stuffing around for a while before we actually head off!

Hey just a quick question for you Wellingtonian's....do any of you happen to work at the airport or know anyone who does? I am a silly bugger and left a battery in a box of bike bits I was taking back home last week when I jumped on a plane and had to leave it with the Aviation Security Service.

No drama as I can always get another one but if anyone was already there it would be awesome if someone could pick it up. It's a 12V bike battery and my form number is 151581. The guy at the check-in said it could be picked up but I don't know what the process is and I guess there's a chance they might have thrown it out already.

Anyway, if you can help give me a PM. Or if you want to hassle me for being a dumbass and trying to take a battery on a plane feel free as well.

Yep, it was a great day - a bit cold but fine and dry.

Some EXCELLENT racing, and very few bins.

Nice to see heaps of KBers out there.

SVS: congrats on your championship placing, well done!! And thanks for the mention to KB in your acceptance speech.

Nicko: I hope you've got a big enough trophy cabinet at home - well done!

Motoracer: haven't read your report yet, but well done for coming all that way. Sorry we didn't get to talk with you much.

Hooks: I'll have you know that some Ducatis WON some races!! :first: :first: :first: :first:
And my glasses look fine, must have been a bit of dust on them....... :2thumbsup

The bits i saw were good. shame i went to my bosses house. he spotted a bolt missing out of the top of my front, right caliper! :angry2:
turned out it had snapped. i was stuck in fielding (after breaking 2 "easy-outs" antil my Bro-in-law came up in his van yesterday afternoon. so i missed racing, couldnt find the pub everyone was at after, then missed the sprints... what a crap weekend (oh, and now I have a hangover)

Yeah, I thought you'd given up on the racing pretty early in the piece aswell! Stink about the brakes though! Hope it's all sorted now.

I'm just glad nothing moved on the way up there or my bike and me could've been a squishy mess... tried to get my boss to come to the races after we found I wasnt going anywhere saturday, but by the time he'd finished doing all the stuff he had to do, it was over  so we went looking for the prize-giving... couldnt find it so went back to his house and drank bourbon.

was good riding with you all! hope to do it all again soon... and next time I'll make sure all my bike stays in the one piece :spudwave:

The prizegiving was held at the track, with a BBQ. They normally go to the pub down the side street from the clock tower (the Empire Tavern?) but this time decided to stay at the track.
