I have tiny little fingers and can only get the tips of them onto my brake lever (and clutch but thats ok being out of the way most of the time). I have heard talk of bending levers but have a feeling that if I bend them a little bit they will be more bendy/keep bending in the future? Has anyone bent their levers (only a little bit mind you, don't want to be able to pull them to the bar) successfully? Would anyone mind me coming to their place and lending me the use of their experience/vice for a minute? I want to be able to grab the brakes a bit more easily than I can now, thats for sure.

I'm sure the first ten replys are going to say there's already 50 threads about this, sorry, theres fifty threads on almost everything but having the time to find them with slow-ass dial up is killing me!

Thanks in advance, Pancakes.

I think on your Hyosung the levers should be adjustable anyway, no need for bending. Got a manual?

EDIT: Oh I looked it up and they aren't adjustable. So please ignore this post.

Nah its one cast peice, no dial or anything, if the 650 hyo's have an adjustable one it might be worth a call to the dealer. There's no link from the lever to the master either, it's pushes straight on there, also was thinking I could bleed some fluid out and insert a spacer so they don't ever return to full open, would this cause the pads to drag though?

:yes:Thanks for the reply

Pancakes--gimme a yeodle --Something off of another bike will fit --even if it needs a lil bit of er modification with a file.
The other possibility MIGHT be to file a bit of material off the bit of your lever that presses against the piston.
Note I am NOT suggesting bending the lever

Yeah, sounds good. I have hear banter about bending levers but talk is cheap and once you start bending metal it's just gonna get weaker so wasn't keen at all. The levers are fine but on my bike I wouldn't say the metal they've used is going to be the stuff that will take that kind of abuse. Am working like a mental at the moment but will PM you when I get a brake (heh heh) if thats cool.

Frosty is on to it. You don't want to be bending a cheaply cast lever if you can at all avoid it.

Pancakes and anyone else thinking of this. The way cheap castings work means that bending the leler WILL weaken it.
Im kinda reminded of the Dirty Harry movie -Do ya feel lucky punk---dooya ??
Front brake lever just aint an area Im happy to gamble with being strong enough when i need it to be

brake levers on the GT250R are adjustible, i have them set on the closest one. bugger me if anyone can get to it on the furthest one out lol. you can get them for 15USD or so from korea, not sure if they will fit the GT250 though
