Folks,

Just parked the bike at the bike park behind the bungee on Taranaki Street here in Wellington and there's a bike lying on it's side. It's a dark blue Honda (not too sure but it looks like either a CBR600 or maybe larger), it's pretty new and has a single under seat exhaust at the back. Hopefully it's not too badly damaged. It's lying on it's right hand side.

If the owner is on here and you need a hand getting it up just give me a shout, I'm just up the road at Konica Minolta house all day today. I parked there at about 07:40 and there was a lady in a car parked up the road a little bit who said it had been like that earlier on when she arrived to go to the gym.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to do about it as I didn't want to try lifting it and possibly damaging it further.

Any one can pick up a bike if its done correctly!

hmm seems to be a common BMW fault!

but most BMW's don't fall all the way over because of their sticky outy bits, that last 20 degrees makes a big difference with a larger bike.

Oh so true - especially if the lifting technique (as in this case) is mostly pushing backwards.
I venture to suggest that with a bike that goes all the way over, it's impossible to get your butt in the position against the seat that she suggests.
