Was pointed towards this site off another forum, i'm in my home of the Isle of Man but will be going to Aukland in November to do some travelling and see the country. i'm hoping to either buy a cheap bike or at least hire a bike a few times while i'm there as i've heard the roads are beautiful.
I hope i can meet up with some peeps off here when i come over, it would be great to be shown places. Can't wait to get over now. :sunny:
I'll be gettin a work visa and looking for work when i get there but if anyone knows of anything or want any workers for the summer please let me know.
Cheers guys and girls, can't wait to hear from yz. (ps i'm a girl)

I'm sure that you will enjoy our great Southern Land. For work it depends on your skill base.... There is always fruit picking in both islands growers find it hard to get full crews. Check out http://www.seek.co.nz for jobs over here.
Some bike shops offer a buy back scheme or just pick up a cheapie.:Punk:

Welcome - look up Juan on the members list. He's from the IOM and if I remember correctly, he was over here last year. He may be able to give you some pointers.

Welocome! Always good to have one from your fair isle behave in a reciprocate manner.. as we've sent a few of our number over there in recent times...
I'm sure you'll find the hospitality here as good as has been extended to many of us over there.

Awesome to hear from you. IOM is one place I've always wanted to visit... obviously the bike link but my ancestry is from there too (Onchan).
If I can do anything for you while you're down here yell. I'd love to meet and hear the accent (sounds daft possibly... sorry!)

Never really thought i had a Manx accent but i suppose i have to someone who doesn't live here. i'm gettin all exited now.

So is Kiondroghad part of Onchan (or the other way around)? Kiondroghad is the "exact spot" apparently... would love to see it. Yes, please look me up when you get here.
Also, make sure you're prepared for the Thursday night rides down here... good fun!

Thanx for the warm welcome peeps! I want to do as much of it as i can on two wheels cos its my life, lovin it!
been lookin at allsorts of stuff but i think it'll just be a visa, plane ticket and hello Aukland. Throw myself in at the deepend n all that so any help would be greatly appreciated. It'll be be good to meet up with people with the same interests, it'll make it a little less daunting.

Well yes riding here is amazing and i must of done 100s of laps around the TT course but thats pretty much all i've done for years, i need to broaden my horizons.
and as for all year, not this year its not stopped bloody raining, not done half the miles i did last year. If this is summer i really don't want to be here for winter.

Yeah coz riding around and around and around and... would never get boring...
hebs - there are two roads here that you may want to ride - there's one on the North Island and one on the South Island (Yes those are the actual island names - really imaginative!!)
