hi all.

I know this is still a few months away, but we are stating to plan our run over to greymouth and wondered how many other bikers would be interested in going over to greymouth via nelson, for a bit of extra riding time.

we are planning on leaving the saturday from christchurch and riding up to nelson and then leaving from nelson to greymouth early sunday morning.
watching the races and then heading back home afterwards.

anyone else keen?.

I will be heading over on the Sunday to watch -probably go over via Lewis and back via Arthurs pass.
The Nelson ride would be good but not for me.Hope you have a good trip and maybe see you in Greymouth.

there is no backtrack, just a slight change in plans.
fox rider, i will pm you about this, not place to discuss it on here.

we are riding from here to nelson, to have a bit more time on the bikes and meeting up with a few bikers in nelson, i think a few of them are from the truimph club, but, would have to check with gib to be sure. then we will all leave onto greymouth sunday morning.

I'm planning on heading over there with my dad, but we definately won't be going via Nelson. We'll take the passes there and back so if there are others doing the same we might join you

still a few months away and there will be atleast one or two of us, that will come back through arthurs and would be keen to ride with a couple of others.

if things dont go to plan, we are looking at heading over to greymouth on the saturday instead via arthurs and skip going to nelson

You've been a bit quiet - fill up the fuel tanks a bit more and do another South Island loop - a couple of days on the tailing gang will just about cover your food!!!!:Punk:

That noise isn't pain - they're just calling for their mum
Tell you what if petrols getting a bit dear then you'll have to start riding your bike like a scooter, 2 pushes with the left leg, 2 with the right.... by the time you get here your thighs will be so big you'll be able to kick start a jumbo jet and we'll be able to tie the tailing yards to your back and leave the tractor at home!!!!!!!!!! Cuddles???, shit don't waste them on the lambs, I can arrange an orderly queue of 2 legged volunteers!!!

Digging up the old thread...

Guy at work is going, so I'll ride up with him and think a few others will come with us. Riding on the Sunday though.

Anyone have details on when things kick off? I understand its just in the city somewhere.

geez, harden up , of course it will, I've seen guys going over on a honda 50 stepthru....... .If your worried about fuel just throw a couple of 1.5 or 2 litre fizz bottles full of petrol in the back pack , we used to do this all the time on the dirt bikes to get more range, then put them in the rubbish when finished.
