<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>I know -- everybody takes the piss out of those with vice versa, but it sounds more fun than being you and me with more sense than money :D

Imdying, aren't TL forks a dangerous liability? Or is that just the rest of the bike?

It's not like I have much sense though, I'm just that much poorer :p

So are you going to have the forks re-valved and oiled so they work with your TL , at least as well as the stock ones would have?

Imdying, aren't TL forks a dangerous liability? Or is that just the rest of the bike?

no they arn't...thedy are acctualy pretty good forks as far as stock cartridges go!

Imdying, aren't TL forks a dangerous liability? Or is that just the rest of the bike? No, they're fine, but I'd be having one of the local experts tickle them first in any case.... seems I'm still looking for a Suzuki front end ya'll  K3+ thou or K6+ 600/750 preferred... only needs the forks, maybe the calipers, WHY?

no they arn't...thedy are acctualy pretty good forks as far as stock cartridges go! The forks have been sorted by traxxion dynamics in the states,i will keep the original TL forks to throw back on if i ever sell the old girl......

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>Hahaha, they just seem to have a reputation for being a bit `hairy' -- everybody says they're tremendously exciting, but they tend to chuck people off if they don't pay attention. Bar-room bravado? Or is there a grain of truth?

Bar-room bravado? Or is there a grain of truth? At the launch in Florida in 97 a french journo had a huge off, then a couple of poms became hedgerow markers..just went from there i guess,i have a huge collection of mag tests going way back to 97,most are very positive in the handling dept with our own Kiwibiker mag saying they had more head shakes from a GSXR750 than a TLS round a race track......generally the negative comments came from english mags,i am not saying the rotary damper wasnt without flaws but it certainly wasnt a killer. In any case any bike will chuck you off if you dont pay attention.Even by todays standards the TL has an awsome motor..a bit of mucking about with suspenders etc still sees them up there on the roads with bends.

Funny, I've only ever heard Suzi riders say that.

Fatjim i guess it depends how hard you ride. Its not generally the bikes fault, too often its the poor roads and the rider not realising just how bad they are until its too late. Just like any "bigbore sportsbike". TL or not. Not paying attention will kill you.

I'm sniffing around for another front end, GSXR most likely... apparently the rise on the TLS clips gives a bar position the same as the std SV ones. Not having a great deal of luck though... I might just powdercoat the whole damn factory setup black, and bide my time till I can afford some Ohlins gear. Problem is, an Ohlins setup is a sizeable chunk of the bathroom budget, and SWMBO isn't all that impressed that the SVR is a single seater

Just looking around for bits at the moment... someone has mentioned that they make triple clamps, but all these little bits add up.

Sure do,amazing how it adds up eh..mods are worth more than the damn bike i started out with, fun but.Afew big trips away this summer on the bike so all my pennys are being saved for them at the mo.

More than the bike, bah, that doesn't bother me... money is only good for one thing. I'll keep playing with this one till something else catches my eye... I'm considering an early blade, would make a good partner to the sv.
