What will you buy and why??

One of those pocket bikes. They look like Wikd fun. Otherwise an 04 R6, and turn it into a track bike (with all the bells and whistles).

1992 CBR250RR

Money is no object? That'd extend to being able to pay the infringement notices for riding something more fun than a 250 on a learners right?

Personally I've been feeling a strange unexplicable attraction to guzzi's just recently :love2:

[ edit: I think I've found out why.. ]
A description of the V11 Le Mans Rosso Corsa from motoguzzi.it:
Here is a bike for the connoisseur, to be savoured like a fine wine, mile after mile. Every pulse of its new engine is a pulse of pleasure. The frame guarantees dependable, instant and precise handling. The half fairing provides ample rider protection. The chassis delivers the sort of ride the others can only envy.

Pulsating pleasure? Where do I sign up?

Bet I'd never get that sorta enjoyment from some jappa tupperware racer..

Actually I'm a rather small dude so it's a tad hard to actually sit on a bigger bike. I.e. me trying to sit on a CBR600R and a VTR1000. Not good.

400's I can do, but anything higher in cm's & cc's and I'm having trouble there.

For me it would have to be a one of a kind custom job reflecting who I am. Why ride something every one else has?

One-a them $90,000 carbon fibre F4-1000s with a name that sounds like a coffee machine.... and an engine that sounds like a coffee grinder?

I'd have 5 (five) bikes, as apparently it's the right number. I'm not deciding right now - I'm going to take my good time to enjoy the testing and choosing process. And it's going to take me months. :2thumbsup

Yeah, HR, we think along the same lines, we like the look of the polaris victory motorcycles, they are custom chopper/cruisers and are nicer looking than harley's although they are also american bikes, you can get them customised to suit your personality when you buy them new, drool....

As much as I'd like to say something classy like a Bosshoss, or the tomohawk...

What would probably suit me best is a Suzuki bandit 1200 (I think I got that right) or equivilent... maybe a Tiger 955i with mag wheels or a BMW K1200CL ... yeah I know the BMW is ugly but it would be nice to take the wife out for rides to chch and back

Thruxton 900 - resprayed 1966 Triumph Silver. Corbin seat rather than the stock.

See - I have a style thing with bikes - Not too sporty (Though there are some LOVELY Ducatis about) and not too cruisery (Unless it's an Indian - classic lines are hard to get away from).

I like the cafe racer thing - *shrug* sorry all but I Don't Care!

Dream bikes, mmmm...

I'd love an MV F4, but reality is I could put one on HP if my better half agreed so I guess it's not really a dream bike (????).

What about an NR750, with a dedicated team of mechanics of course.

WOOP! WOOOP!! Pedantrist alert!!
It's actually an NR.
(Wheew!! Glad I've got that off my chest...)
There was a brand-new one for sale last year (?) on the interweb, and it came with a mechanic! IIRC, it was a mere $US85k. And I have a friend in Seedneee who knows someone (in one of the clubs he belongs to) who has an NR, and races it. Well, at least goes through the motions of wheeling it around the racetrack at some speed on trackdays.

A fully sorted Bimota VDue, they way they envisaged it would work -not the stuff up that rolled off the production line.

In the absence of the clearly impossible - I’d make do with a road registered (& detuned) NSR500V twin with a pit crew to follow me around rebuilding it.

Best they pack a few spare fairing panels while they are at it.

Yeah you got me on that, I really should have known better. Still it'd certainly be something to scare the bejeezuz out of the commuters on a Monday morning. Wonder how it would like idling down the Gorge.

Guess I'll have to stop dreaming, and polish the old GS some more.

Did anyone see the article on the new Bimota Tesi 2D a couple of Two Wheels back - weird but strangely alluring. About $50,000 AUSD. I'd have one!
Or...or...or... a new MV F4 1000 - just plain beautiful.

It would have to be a Spondon RG500 with a Mark Dent motor and all th efruit. Thirsty, anti social and loud, and an enviromental nightmare on 2 wheels...

If it was for wank factor and money was no object, and it was rideable on the road.... The Britten would be for me.... or a MotoGP bike.....

CB750 Nighthawk or Zepher 750 (I've never needed anything over 750cc). Failing that a W650 (because it has a kickstart, centre stand and is very underated).

Tis a goody alright. It's got a smaller US market tank though by the looks. Also I get tad suspicious when a new TM member pops in to bid.

Still would like an MV Augusta Brutale... but with no $ limit it would have to be the limited edition Brutale F4 Serie Oro... or the F4 S http://www.mvagustausa.com/2003mvagusta/images/f4s/F4S1_1024.jpg

Now I'm no expert but I do like the look of both bikes. I had a decent look (not ride) at some Ducati's and the Brutales at Motomart a few weekends ago and I must say that the Ducati models on display looked very cheap in comparison to the workmanship & detail of the wee Brutale.

my thoughts exactly, except for the detuned bit, ride the ass off it and make the mechanics earn thier keep  prolly need a deal with dunlop and HRC to keep the spares coming (and southern cross too  )
