Someone left this comment, lol! Do those two words sound exactly the same to you?...

The whole premise of that joke is based on the ignorant American mispronounciation of Iraq. It is I-raq, not Eye-raq.

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>I think they mean by `I-raq' the correct pronunciation of `I' as a syllable (rather than a word) -- sort of like a shortened `eh' (phonetically, not the word `eh' that sounds like `aye'). So, `Eh-raq', or even `Ih-raq' if you're a kiwi with a flat tongue.

Yes yes, I know that. Just the way he wrote it, to my eye and ear they looked like identical pronunciations.

Do you notice that since the war began we Kiwis have changed the way we say Iraq? We all used to say it Eh-raq or Uh-raq, now we say it Eye-raq, just like the USA. That's global media for you.

Song for your i-pod while it's on your i-rack.

Pack it up, pack it in
Let me begin
I came to win
Battle me that's a sin
I won't tear the sack up
Punk you'd better back up
Try and play the role and the whole crew will act up
Get up, stand up, come on!
Come on, throw your hands up
If you've got the feeling jump across the ceiling
Muggs is a funk fest, someone's talking junk
Yo, I'll bust em in the eye
And then I'll take the punks home
Feel it, funk it
Amps it are junking
And I got more rhymes than there's cops that are dunking
Donuts shop
Sure 'nuff I got props from the kids on the Hill
Plus my mom and my pops
