Yeap I dropped my hornet :(. Met up with gijoe and were going to Maverick's place. I stalled in my driveway (incline driveway), and I live on the highway (so bit of traffic). So by the time i got moving properly i had lost gi. So i was just wandering around my neighbourhood, and i decided to turn back and go back home and give gi a call saying that i stalled and i stuffed up. Anyway I was at this end of the road, and i was just turing the bike with my feet and hands, bike was off, and suddenly the bike went heavy on the right side so I had no choice but to let her kiss the ground slowly. :(

A lady from a car came to the rescue and helped me pick up the bike :). Nothing major to the bike, just some scars to the outer housings and the front break lever.

Called justin, he came, had a through look over, started the bike up, let her run for a while and we went to maverick's place :).

Was a good night, met another KB member, had a good time, but i am bit disappointed in myself.

I can hear it now... "the first mistake you made was riding with gijoe1313" :pinch: Actually, t'was a funny day - you rang me just after I rode down your driveway on Daisy (RZ250) and I was popping in to see you at random (as I do).

When I left the driveway, I puttered as slowly as I could, but had a line of cars up my backside! I figured that you were having the usual "clutch/throttle/eek traffic" issues and turned around ... by that time ... you were down the road doing your own thing! :sweatdrop

Big ups to you for not panicking and keeping a cool head. Once we sorted your little ol'Hornet out, it was fine! And yes, I will order another set of protectors for you ASAP! (Tuesday is payday for me ... sigh... )

Good time at Mavericks, talking bikes, working on bikes and watching Fight Club. Pizza and coke and Big'uns cheese flavoured snacks.. all good! And Marmite the cat was lovely to pet (I's a Leo thats why I loves kitty kats!)

Now you know Mav's hidey hole - use him for mentoring and I'll spot you the rest on all things Hornet like! :msn-wink:

Must start planning another 250 group ride for learners soon as well! Mav? Where are you? I need your weather-genie!

Yea I rang you when I was at a gas station in botny, and then you call me and you said you were at my place, i was like wow, teleporting :O hehe.

Yea was a good night :). Hehe since mav lives like 5 mins away from me, I might just annoy him every now and then :P hehe.

I am all in for the 250 group ride, pick a sunny day please :).

HTFU... just part of learning... everyone drops their bikes from time to time, just get on with it and count it as experience...

I Get Knocked Down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
"Oh Danny Boy
Danny Boy
Danny Boy..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away

He drinks a vodka drink

He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
"Don't cry for me
Next door neighbour..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

Dropped ya bike?

As someone said, we've all done it!

Hell, I've done it twice, and both times I was bloody stationary... even managed to do it in front of another KB member during a KB 250 learners ride!

So as prescribed, take one HTFU pill with a tall frosty pint of beverage of your choice, and then have a bloody good laugh about it. Safer to drop it than bin it, yet still with the added bonus of a free learning curve :D

See ya at the next two fiddy ride then! :scooter:

The worst thing about bikes is when you damage them yourself.
When you've got something so lovely then scratch or dent it, it's kinda hard to forgive yourself...
