I was riding home yesterday in the pouring rain between tauranga and te puke and i was lane splitting down the middle of the road. I passed this white late model ford falcon and when i passed it turned on "under-cover cop" like lights but instead of being the usual lights on the dash on going 'blue red blue red' they just flashed 'red red red red' and i thought "Fark! Another stupid fine for me" but then he just turned off his lights. I dont think it was a cop, possibly a paramedic car? Stupid fella, gave me a hell of a fright and i was hardly doing anything dangerous. It wasnt like i was trying to lane split between two trucks. And it is a reasonably wide road. Three cars could easily go down it side by side.
Just wondering who the hell it was, i thought St John had cars, but they aren't usually falcons and they have St Johns stamped all over them..

Ive installed red flashers into CD cars, DOC cars, Fire Rescue cars etc. Fire lights are RED and RED. Could have been them just trying to scare your alittle!

I woulda said it was a fire rescue car, I pulled up to the lights once to find a "undercover cop" sitting next to me, it took me a couple of seconds to realise that it said nz fire service on his arm..
