I got invited for a drink and a chat with a certain Welshman tonight. He's currently in this part of the world for a spot of rugby refereeing. Turns out we used to live around 20 miles from one another in Welsh Wales once upon a time.

Anyway, I bought him a beer, and I nailed the deal. I made it clear that Ritchie McCaw never infringes/goes off side, and that I know for a fact George Greagan thinks he's a wanker.

No need to thank me. I did it for New Zealand.

Then again, I did go to a proper private school in Brisbane that wouldn't be caught dead even acknowledging the existence of league; and never mind the fact about those horrible lower-class men in singlets despoiling the cricket pitch, I say!

Nah - not that. It's a cultural difference. Same principles - different codes.
Where I grew you played Rugby if you weren't good enough for the money in League and too slow for Basketball.
Or you were a North Shore 'School Tie' boy.
The Southern states aren't interested in League or Rugby Union - they play Gaelic Football with an egg and it has the same passion as the Irish - or the Kiwi's have for the All Blacks even .
I don't watch Rugby. Frustrates me.
Frustrates my Kiwi mates more when they try and wind me up about the Bledisloe.

I'm surrounded by the bastidges out here....I have to pray the AB's can do the job, to preserve the shredded remnants of my sanity. The bastidges don't half go on...and on...and on.....

I am SOOOOO gutted about missing the game here in Auckland!!! Have never been to an all blacks game at eden park, all my mates are going.... I have to be at the airport at 4am tomorrow morning to go to... Australia!!!! Bugger!! If aust wins (god forbid!!) myself and the rest of the NZ team going to sydney tomorrow will be given hassles ALL weekend!! :shit: But then I guess when the All Blacks DO win we can give the aussies shit hehe :D
