Hi guys

Just got myself a wee bandit

1)Any one have a workshop manual they could share

2)On the fuel tank there is a switch with 3 postions
Main,res and on

I am guessing main is obviously main tank and res is reserve.
So what is "on"?

Cheers in advance.

main is what you use day to day
res is res
on means petrol will flow with out the vacumn from the engine

(From Wasp .. he has happy to meet you for other questions .. but hes setting up my new computer tonight)

A lesson on vacuum fuel lines learned the hard way, on the side of the motorway (no laughing Shadows!)......

If you run out of gas and don't switch to reserve fast enough, you will need to turn the tap to "Pri" to prime the fuel line again, or it won't restart. :slap:

Another question, she seems very hard to start when cold, should I have full choke on for a dead cold start,or no choke and crank a bit on when she jumps in to life.I guess its different for every bike.

Yep.. I have the same problem starting my weee 250 bandit! Although I left my lights on it and now I have to jump start her... damn it.

Wasp will be able to help you out if you have any questions about your bandit... hes an expert. I have to get hold of him myself actually.

On is on
Pri is prime which is the setting where fuel will flow without the vacuum pump
Res is reserve.

You should have it on "on" most of the time. I never really bothered using reserve I just switched it to prime when I was getting low on fuel cause the fuel could just flow freely. Reserve still needs the vacuum pump to pump the fuel.

My partners bandit is a prick to start in the cold too. I find it best to wind on a decent bit of choke and push the starter button with no throttle. It might take a bit but it usually starts

EDIT: It doesn't run properly until it's warmed right up so give it a chance to warm up before you take off

I had problem starting mine until i replaced batery. Now all i have to do it pull choke lever and hold start button for few sec (2-5) and it slowly starts. Wouldnt sugest riding it cold, cos it seem gutless.
