Hi guy's an gal's hope the riding's going well.
I need a favour, i bought an 98 DR650se (farkin awesome) de-reg'd
am looking at putting it back on the road,have got the lights etc all hooked up and going (just gotta get some road legal knobblies) the problem is the lights (tail and blinkers) and muffler are after market it's all good for a WOF
but wont pass the re-vinn (strict bastards), i was hoping to find someone local to Hamilton,who would be able to lend me some parts for a week to get my ride though the re-vin, budget wont allow me to buy any stuff at the moment. If some one 's got some cheapish parts for sale i might be able to
scratch some cash together.
I've been waiting a long time to get back on a DR so i'm hanging out big time to get it back on the road, would be good to get any tips and stuff on the DR,

shit theres some awesome stuff on this site,each time i log on i find something new,not enough time in my day to read all the threads,
i thought i new a thing or to about bikes till i started reading some threads,
theres some great advice,tips and technical stuff from lots of riders who no
there shit- cool site.

was looking on the kien web sight saw this thing called a torque limiter
aparently my bike hasn't got one ,say's some thing about damage can accure when shutting motor of .Does any one know anything about this.

turns out compliance wont let the bike vinn without original import papers,
so im just gonna get the torque limiter put in give her a service and sell her on.would love to keep her as shes a bit faster than a standard DR but i plan to do 70% on road, cant offord two bikes so out she goe's, anyway thanks for your help its good to know where in a community that helps each other out. :rockon:
