i'm not after a track, but whats the closest place on or to North Shore where i can give the bike a small putt putt, just a little rev without the neighbours/reserve residents/street cops having a benny? there must be somewhere... i used to see people riding over albany court area but security may block now? just a patch where i can give test v.basic test (i don't wanna drive to woodhill for a 10 min test)
takapuna & orewa beach sure look tempting.. keep me out of jail, where can i ride? ta
please reply or PM

I used to test my bike up and down the street, old XR250, in Devonport, also rode it around Narrow Neck beach to pick up a package from a mate who was going fishing and drove his bayliner in to give it to me.

I say just up and down the street. If its only ten minutes wont give the Police time to turn up anyways.

I see people all the time on the blocks at the back of the Albany courthouse, if you only want a 10 minute thrash then its your best bet.

if your on the motorway heading north bound, get off at oteha and hang a left, through the first round about then your first right, you will c a play ground on your right, you cant miss it, pull into the carpark and walk up to the toilets and you will notice a gravel road and voila your there!! away from the main road and the FUZZ.

Beaches are roads under the law.

Ive mainly seen them on weekday evenings, the security guards would probably leave you alone if you had the kids with you and saw you were taking it easy. The thing that ruined it for everyone was when guys went out there and were rippin up rooster tails and turning it into a bog. Besides all the security guards can do is ask you to leave "politely".

Some are. Also means you trailie has to be road legal to ride on them, so don't go spouting that off to a cop if he asks you to move on.....
