Most of them are probably more deaf than Pete Townsend.

go to your local RSA or Vets Club.. buy 2 beers and find the oldest living fossil in the place ..
then just sit down and pass him one..
the rest takes care of itself.. i love old folks.. most of them have been and done more than i could ever hope to and its a silly man who dont listen to the wisdom of the ages

Kinda humble lifes little problems talking to them about some of the stuff they have seen and been through. And its a great way to spend ANZAC day, go in Uniform and the beers free!

On hot-rod runs we stop at pubs all over the country - a mate of mine always homes-in on the really old 'bar-flies', offer them a drink and yarns with them, amazing the stuff he tells us later.
