Brought myself a brand new Kawasaki Concourse 14 :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
I fianaly went and done it, after much procrastination and a couple of test rides i purchased my first ever brand new motor bike and i must say it is bloody awesome
Picked it up after work yesterday and have alredy done 125 kms on it and covered it in filthy road grime last night. Like a dumarse i was so excited i forgot i had my tinted visor on when i left so i ended up riding in the dark with the screen fully up and my visor open and crouched down to keep under the windflow The screens on these bikes are a little short but i am sure there will be a longer one on the market soon Th lights are brilliant and the heated hand grips i had put on are simply wonderful
Traded the meanie in :weep: cause i couldnt afford to keep it and have a brand new bike, I struggled handing the keys over though i must confess and when riding it into town i was thinking "what the hell are you doing" I woke up feeling a lot better about my decision this morning especialy when i went out to the shed
Ill post some pics soon and let you know what i think of it So far though its all good and im looking forward to putting heaps of ks on it

about time kawakasi got a proper sports / hyper tourer, those things look seriously the bomb. I don't have a clue where ashurst is - its not near mianus but i hope its near some of the rest of the country so you can get out and do some long days in the saddle.

sure you will do your best, good :ride: today?

yup....was good....pretty sedate out to shannon, roads pretty damp, a little less stately back to ashhurst, roads were better

the RF has decided it likes to lead too, but after a good 10-15kms a certain yellow machine went ripping past, so I had to open her up and follow (be rude not to)

....hmmmm....clocking a number beginning with a 2 and i wasn't catching the daytona in much of a hurry, 86 was enjoying himself methinks? and if i recall correctly it happened again on the colyton road....

really never got in the groove on the saddle road but once on the track it all came together - uphill just farkin rocks - downhill im usually not a fan of, but i quite enjoyed it this time - i've decided i prefer the track going east to west btw

86 and I then escorted Betsy + chanceyy to the turn off, said our seeyas and decided to show off the two 9 hundies to all and sundry in town so pottered off up fitzherbert ave and home

pic is from ashhurst shortly after Betsy tried to do a striptease on the ashhurst bridge right in front of the RF.....

pic is from ashhurst shortly after Betsy tried to do a striptease on the ashhurst bridge right in front of the RF.....

she was feeling a tad frisky & it was the sight of the river & needing to cool off that did it .. not a certain daytona's ass in front of her making her hot or a certain RF behind her encouraging her to lose her bits

The screens on these bikes are a little short but i am sure there will be a longer one on the market soon

Why do motorcycle manufacturers do this? And particularly Kawasaki after all of its hype on this model, particularly talk of "windtunnel testing". The cynic in me says its so the aftermarket screen makers can turn a coin. I had screen problems on both the ST1300 and the FJR. Givi's FJR replacement screen is way better than stock, but I'm serious contemplating a Rifle.

Congratulations again on the new buy! Purchasing a brand-new bike is something I have yet to have the pleasure of.
