And yet again, the midnight frolics of bikers tinkering on their rides surfaces yet again! The usual schedule of work gets thrown out - so bring your rides, trusty and true, to make it run like new!

Oh yeah, usual guff about how food and refreshments provided and other silly stuff blah blah... :innocent:

Hey breakaway, do you study at AUT? I have seen a bike similar to yours parked in front business building (well the only 400 in that colour). Great bike with the 94 cbr900 tigerblade colour scheme

Just don't let Donor near it if you see him with a block of wood and heavy engineer's mallet in his hand! :eek5:

So far, we have managed to overcome all problems - we solved Dandi's problem by stripping her back to a bare frame! :innocent:

I don't think we'll need to go to that extreme with your Viffer hopefully! :sweatdrop

If you don't get any joy, turn up to one of these madcap spanner evenings and we'll see what we can finagle out of the more experienced and learned biker minds!

but of course! That's what Spannering nights are for heheh... to learn about how we can dismantle and install bits on our two wheeled rides of freedom!

Plus its fun, saves us some dosh and gives us the excuse to talk shite about bikes and everything else! :msn-wink:

OK so tell me how are you lot at electrics?

I freely admit that when it comes to these I live up to my name. Merde.

I have a Stebel Nautalis (bought from Black Katana) that I want mounted to my bike and wired in. No idea where to go or what to do.

I'll need to get some wire I suppose.

Let me know what I need apart from the horn.

Give me directions and I will pop along if you dont mind.

No worries! I've installed those little beauties, and if ain't suitable I think I have two magnums you could swap one for!

Just see if you got some suitable lengths of wire and bring that in case we need to rout wires around!

Lots of bikes this time, sorry I had to leave so late... as I wasn't on my own bike, didn't like to be out too late!

Whoever had the ZXR (didn't catch many names, I'm a bit away with the birds a lot of the time hehe), awesome bike. Scratches and all, the green is all worth it ! Oh and the Honda's were nice too, I suppose ;)

And another night of Spannering is done and dusted! :sweatdrop

What a turn out tonight! I got a text from Donor saying that the place was infested with bikers and he was right! A bit of a feed (standing room only!) and then into the bikes we trolled!

A frikk'n motorcycle alarm kept us in conniptions until 3am ... with that completed a merry squadron of bikers hooned off into the still, dewy night.

Highlights was the saga of the blown fuses, the restoration of a bent kawaka front bit and the screams of Crashe as she watched her cables being tightened!

I had a lot of fun popping up with the "yes, as a matter of fact... I do!" in reply to tool/equipment requests .. too bad some of them were non-starters!

Ah well, the gargre is all tidied up now, tools put away, bikes stashed and tucked in for the night, as for me... time to :zzzz:

Well I'm home safe and sound, I hope the rest of the convoy of law-breakers I lead (ever so carefully w.r.t. the speed limit, as not to attract the attention of our blue and red friends) get home soon without mishap.

Not long before the Takanini onramp did I see one plain-clothes and one patrol car parked side by side, lights a-flash; this caused some minor pant-shatting but we got past unscathed. I kept checking the rear-vision mirrors for the next couple of kilometres nonetheless :)

Going around that long dipping right-hander on the motorway where it joins with the airport motorway, I looked in my rear-vision mirror -- beautiful sight; bike headlights stretched out behind me, all on a slight lean, crisp air and engine crackling away. Riding at night is the best, pesky 10PM restriction.

Thanks all, nice to meet some new faces ^_^

Thx Justin - Alarm working sweet as. Unfortunately my speedo has broke . Will check it out tomorrow.

Could just be a cable. If it was a Ducati that would cost you $40 for genuine parts (happened to me last month!) but since you ride a Honda it's gonna cost you dear mate - should a bought a cheap Italian

Cheers a great night and such wonderful company.

I started of by helping to pull off parts from the kwaka......

Then had great hugs from Donor....

Back to stripping the kwaka.......

Had a great feed...... Cheers Justin..... you cooked them good.

Then got chatting about lubing stuff.......
So the young lads thought ok we can do this...... and was tightening the clutch cable up tight....
I'm thinking but you have to loosen it up to take it off........ dont you?

Anyway Ixion popped over did an adjustment and pulled in the clutch lever and did a wee pull and off it came.... the lads learnt something about how to remove cables etc from a cruiser.

Cheers Ixion for lubing all my cables and sorting out the throttle...
They work a charm now.... Cheers Justin for all the lube.

Got to meet the parents....... hope she found the jewellery.
Some one may have swallowed it..... please wash and return if you find it.
