View Full Version : Boring bike vids on Youtube- what a waste of electrons
I'm not into web surfing and don't use youtube. Last night over a few beers I decided to see what was on in terms of bike vids. Now I'm sure if you search for wheelies and crashes you might find lots of exciting stuff.
BUT, the %#@% waste of space some losers post. They should be shot between the eyes with a ball of their own dried shit for wasting time :ar15:.
I searched by bike brands out of curiousity. I can't believe the crap some people actually think the other billion people on the planet might want to watch!. A bike idling while on it's stand??? A bike crawling up to a stop sign. It stops as a car passes then it crawls across the intersection??? Get a life dipshit. What was the point?
Then these two losers all dressed like Valentino boy racers, giving thumbs up to the bike camera, take to what was one of the best stretches of bike roads I've seen (Europe, maybe Spain?). Whoa, this looks promising I'm thinking...oh shit , here we go again, they rode about as fast as pensioners on mobility scooters. What was the bloody point of posting that! :brick:
Lessoned learned, stay away from the net.

Yup, you're not wrong, there's some shit up there!
Would a 7 minute 35 second lap of the Nurburgring make amends?

No? I think part of the problem (apart from complete knobs submitting shit footage in the first place) is that video fails to capture onboard speed most of the time

Thanks Fat Tony that was better.
No thanks Disco Dan that was...lame
Toaster - I would not be so cruel as to link you to the boring stuff I found.
The dipshits I am upset about breach the first rule of Motorbikes - no poofters allowed. They give us a bad name.

Was it a stock bike idling on the stand or did it have custom exhaust?
A lot of exhaust manufacturers don't have anything to let possible buyers know what the pipes sound like on their bikes so folks will record it and post it up for others.
Also some could be like me and just learning how to edit vids and shit. Search Waylander22 on youtube then watch them in chronological order, in my opinion I've gotten better but my first couple vids sucked ass.

So did mine - well not sucked  - but I wish I had spent more time on them - some have had 33,000 views and I spent maybe an hour making them. Could have done better - but who'd a thunk it.
I look back and read some of the stuff I wrote 5 years ago and think oh david - you didn't.
Call it our bohemian phase.

I guess it's hard to rate footage of wheelies etc when you are a wheelie legend..............eh Mark !

When I have some time to dial up that shit, I may look at it.
Is that you Fat Tony ?
If I recall rightly, I've done 6 min 10 ish............... in a race Merc on PS2...........but there wasn't much consequence for getting it wrong.
When are you coming over bro ?

Yes it's me ;) I wish!!!!. When I went last year, for the first time, I managed a 9 min 50 secs after about 10 laps. Didn't have any of the next 10 laps timed but I doubt I got much quicker, and nowhere near a 7 min 35 secs. I was running the 750 in... that's my excuse
That vid is of a guy called Dale Lomas... he's one of the Performance Bikes mag journos. They're using the Nurburgring as their test track these days. Unfortunately he had a pretty hefty accident on the way over there a few weeks ago so isn't riding at the mo... but assures us he'll be back.
When are you coming over bro ?
As soon as we can mate. Still waiting on my wife's NZ Nurse Registration to come through so that we can get on with applying for residency. I'm guessing it'll be 6 months yet :(

Ah i wish i could find it. I searched my bike in youtube one day and found this video of these Canadians guys with these goofy as accents revving up this fzr400 in a the freezing cold while it was still cold and they were all drooling over it and everything. It was quite funny, they were saying how great it sounded and it sounded like a standard can ( absolutely like a chain saw in a concrete box )
It was really quite sad.

Nah Deano it wasn't the lack of anything exciting or risky or clever or skillful that annoyed me. It was just the total lack of any substance altogether to justify expecting others to watch it. The disturbing bit is that BMW owners seem the worse. Bloody sheilas bikes!
Another example was someone films their speedo (sobs, it was a F800) as they go around the block in the burbs like a nanna at 30 to 50kph?
The bike idling I stumbled onto was a stock muffler? Why..why, I ask did anyone need to watch & listen to that? Was it newsworthy, was it entertaining - NOT!
Bike clips don't have to be of stunts or kneedown rides BUT there should be something of interest to watch and more stimulating than the 2 hour long clips I am going to post of my lawn growing to get back at these losers.

Here's a ride clip worth the electrons to upload. I enjoyed seeing how often the rider takes it well into the red zone. I've found that on mine as well, that the F800 motor rewards a jollie good thrashing what.
For those wondering the speedo needle at his fastest is about the 220kph mark.
That must be a radar screamer wire flapping about going up to his helmet - at least he wore protection!
Makes me want to rush out with a bike cam.
