Tony Samson on an 04 R1. 291kph recorded was the fastest I saw him go.
Funnily enough, last year, he went 294 on a Gixxer K3.

Agreed, or even just list the models and colours of the bikes and we can identify ourselves.

A mere 253kph real. Was reading 283 on the speedo.
Every single person I spoke to, commented on how their speedo was around 30kph optomistic.
Just goes to show how realistic manufacturers are

That's very disappointing! :mad:I read somewhere why this was. IIRC, it's summat to do with potential lawsuits arising from speedos reading low and people getting tickets when they thought they were obeying the speed limits, so they err on the side of them reading optomistically. I think in some countries, there are laws which state that they have to be like that. It's usually only 3-8%, so if these are all reading 10% or more over, than that's a bit excessive.

Hmmmmm i had mine reading 250km/h as of yet. )c:< but we always know don't trust ya speedoWell I certainly wouldn't trust mine! It was optomistic to start with, before I lowered the gearing. But I only use it when near speed cameras or police anyway; the rest of the time, I just ride at approximately the right speed. As you do. And it's better to be going slower than you think you are. Especially when riding a mental bike with the speedo graduations a poofteenth of a millimetre apart.
I could get a speedo adjuster doofer, but my wife would question my need for it, and I'd rather have some flush-fit front indicators. Or new glubs. Or a CF hugger. Or some boots for the wife (anyone got some very small boots for sale?)
