One part of me has to admit it would do what it claims (reduce "slosh") while another simply asks... is "slosh" a problem?
Sounds like they've invented a problem - then solved it, hoping to create a market.

i think for the top riders could notice it, but for average mx rider or trail riding you are better to spend the money on other things,
it is pretty much standard in car racing

They use these in race cars in the states I think, so I think there is evidence to suggest they do serve a purpose. Probably not justifiable in a motorbike though, what with the limited fuel load.

love this bit...."Riders exclaim that their bikes feel 30 to 40 kilo's lighter and seem to "stick" to the track."
Yeah right, and I can loose 10kg a week on my abflex 1000.
I saw a similar thing tried in a plane except it was a thing like a metal pot-mit. It was supposed to stop fuel fires by conducting the heat away so quickly it would not burn. I believe it worked and was even tried on cars but not sure if it went beyond experimental.

I thought they were mandatory in some race cars for crash reasons? something to do with stopping the fuel going everywhere when they crash i think.

sounds like quite a good idea, id like to test one to see if it actually makes a noticable difference, however i reckon it would reduce your fuel capacity, rendering ones bike useless for enduro use

It's called Explosafe and only takes up about 1% of tank capacity. This product is of dubious value at best and the laughable claims destroy any credibility the maker may have sought.

The fuel cell foam stuff seems to work well in tanks that are succeptable to fuel slosh.
Adventure type bikes with anything from 18-30L gets a lot of slosh.
When you've got 10-15kg of fuel slopping around I'd say it would make a perceptable difference.

Don't the big ones tend to "droop" forwards and low to keep this to a min and keep the weight low and forward?

They reduce it to an extent but it's still there.
