Yea I know sounds crazy and is. So you want learn to do wheelies. Well with this baby you will never have to worry about the front wheel sliding out from underneath.

If monocycles were the way forward, I think they would have taken off a long, long time ago.
:scooter:
What next 'futuristic' suggestion? "Direct drive to front wheel"? Of course, this'll mean a huge front wheel and a ladder needed to get on the bike. Oh yeah, didn't they do that with the Penny Farthing?

I like the stabilisers in the middle...
Suppose this is the kind of thing those airless tyres are being designed for?

{Shudders} If I have to have the seat rammed up my ass like Mr Garrisons "Ginger" on Southpark, I'll go back to a cage full time :pinch:

Not necessarily - there have been technological limitations in the past. Your average person hasn't got the balance/skills or time to develop the necessary balance/skills in order to ride one (ie like the Segway). It's only been recently that the technology to do all that for you has become affordable, so in practise it's really only now becoming a plausible alternative.
Not that I'm advocating a change to unicycles or anything. You can't wheelie them...

And the 1979 XR250.
18" rear and 23" front.
Except they left the drive to the rear.

Looks exciting...but I don't have time to learn how to ride it! I mean, I'll die of old age before I could handle the thing!
