Can anyone tell me who drycleans leather suits, preferably around the North Shore or Central Auckland area?

Also how much I should expect to pay for a one-piece to be cleaned.

Cheers.

Why dry clean them at all?

The solvents used in dry cleaing rob the leather of essential oils

Give them a good scrub in the bath,

nugget them like a pair of shoes to restore the colour

and then snow seal or oil for weather proofing

Why scrub them in the bath?

Bung 'em in the washing machine, on gentle cycle with some wool wash.

But (however) if you're rich'n'lazy, I'd imagine most drycleaners will attend to them for you, AND they won't get all dried out. Certainly the one near us (Highbury) does, as he's an ex-biker (had to give it up due to his body getting too decrepit).

Another effective way is to get the 2 pack leather cleaning and conditioning kit from Harvey Normans, marketed for cleaning lounge suites but works a treat on any leather goods.

Why use a washing machine at all? You don't want them to lose their shape, so why not keep them on, and go through the carwash?
Alternatively, perhaps a good steam-cleaning, or being towed behind a ski-boat for a couple of laps of the Waitemata, followed by a high-speed run down the motorway from Bombay to Silverdale, or vice-versa. :eek5:
