Anybody else on this site get H-D 'Enthusisast' magazine??

There's a bike featured that I had never heard of, built in early 80's by Harley Davidson.
Watercooled, V configuration modular engines of 2,4 and 6 cylinders and 200cc to 1500cc with twin overhead cams, 5-speed gearbox.

Shaft drive prototype then belt drive, horizontal radiator hidden under the seat.

Kinda looks like a Superglide has mated with a Laverda 1000.

It all fell through when the buy-back from AMF occurred and there was not enough $$$$ to develop it to proper production even though it was all-but ready..shame.

Looks a bit like a Hesketh.

I'm seeing Superdream-era `Euro-styling' for some reason. Maybe the square tank and tail.

Why did this not happen? Too far outside their little niche to work in the market with a HD badge? Then again, they did pull off that Aermacchi trick. Vmax competitor, perhaps, but before its time.

I'm yet to hear of a V6 used in a sickle, that would be interesting to see.

The 200cc sounds odd, though. Producing a V2 200cc Harley sounds absurd to me, surely they wouldn't stick a Harley badge on that?
