Linkin Park return to NZ for one show only - VECTOR ARENA - October the 12th.
That is something I MUST see. OK so their latest album did not, in my opinion, hit the same hights as the two earlier ones. But they have to be considered one of the serious contenders for "The Band of the Decade".
I be there!!!
'In The End' came out at the time I ended up alone with my boys. It struk a chord with me. The "I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it does'nt even matter" still sends a chill down my spine.

MEh, they've gone downhill in a big way. Thier first few albums were different and fairly unique but thier new stuff sounds just like ll the rest of ths hit played on the radio la
tely.

You do realize that Chris Cornell is the singer for Audio slave right? And the rest of the Audio Slave members are formerly of Rage Against the Machine. So it's not Chris Cornell from Sound Garden and Audio Slave, it's just Audio Slave

AFAIK, Chris Cornell is solo again. No Audioslave, no Soundgarden.
His new album's not too bad - very mellow but so was Euphoria Morning.
Seriously considering going to this one just for Cornell, whom I would rate as my favourite singer. I've followed his career and music for a long time now (since Louder than Love)

Ah, hadn't heard that. But then they only put out the one album I liked (first one) Stopped paying attention after the second one.

I know re his singing and where. He is coming solo. Sounds like Audio Slave is without a singer now...
And I agree re the latest album. But when I think back to the bands I listened to in my youth many of them had albums that were poor in between and then they bounced back. Look at Metallicas latest...hmmm they still have to bounce back...
Anyhow, I am not gonna give up on Linkin Park just because their latest is a chart topping success that does not please the fringes. And live any band is sooo much more then their latest album. Yep, I be there!!!

I'm there....can we get tickets yet?
Chris Cornell sucks solo - so would be good if he does some songs from the bands he's been with.
I didnt mind linkin parks new album, its something different - not as good as the old ones.....but what albums were good after pink floyd did darkside of the moon.
Anyone got dates for TooL yet?

Me and my 8yo son just loved it. The crew upgraded us to seats. The Vector Arena is superb (Ok, so the sound is not as good as in an specialized place, but...) The security staff were brilliant!.
AND LINKIN PARK!!!! What a band. Totally professional. And the muzak...ahhhh!!!
What a brilliant concert!
