I have a valve spring compressor - last used on a car well over 20 years ago but should still do the trick, providing I can find it in my garage.
Let me know if you want me to tear my garage apart for you (just joking - happy to go look for it if need be).

I think he is sorted - I found mine (I think it is one of the two that Noah had on his Ark) and have phoned AJ, we are going to try and hook up tomorrow to hand it over. Skunk: maybe you can be "plan B" so if you like maybe you could call AJ tomorrow in case you can get yours (which may be from this Century) to him easier/quicker.

Be careful, some car ones are too big for motorbike valves, i found that on my GB400. Or maybe im just unko?

$180 for that! Jaysus Croits!

Surely they're like a $20 tool from Repco, or something? Not much more than a big G-clamp, really.

On a CB125 I would've thought the springs would be light enough to do it by hand, with a mate with pliers to pick out the split collets once they become free.

Get a tube socket the same size as the retainer and give it a bash with a hammer(you still might need the compressor to put it back together though)

Supercheap will sell you one that'll do an xl/cb125 for $30 or so

Yes - I thought so too and have warned AJ he might have to pack it out with something for the little CB head (a socket might do the trick).

If you've got a G clamp I can make it a valve spring compressor.
